Being the kind of wildchild/blacksheep of our very very country family, I had already introduced them to the multi-cultural wild side of me. Among having my ears pierced when I was younger, of course I decided to branch out and go the tattoo rout. When I was just 15, my mom took me to get my first tattoo, which is a big fox (foxracing) with flames across my lower back. Since then, I have got 3 tattoos (a turtle on the inside of my left ankle, and a pony on my left hip), and 9 piercings (4 in left ear, 2 in right, navel ring, tongue ring, and nipple ring). My most recent piercing has been my best decision that I have ever made, and that was my nipple.

So shortly after my husband and I got married, we decided to do it together. Instead of getting our names tattooed on us, which is a little more permanent, this route seemed a little cheaper and proved to be a different kind of bond for us.
We chose a little shop called Nightbreeds which is currently across from our apartment. I had been there twice before; once for a rather large My Little Pony tattoo, and the second time for a tongue piercing. They had proven to be very clean and professional in the past, and also proved so this time.
Their shop is definitely the most clean shop I've ever seen. Each of their rooms are individually sectioned off, which made for a little more comfortable experience when showing a more private part.
Mike, my husband and I were both incredibly nervous, yet very excited to have it done. I, trying to be the brave one, opted to go first, and I would say that it was my best choice, because his reaction to the piercing was horrible. The lady who did my nipple had also done my tongue, so I was already comfortable with her. As she prepped by opening up all new materials, she explained the aftercare to me as well as providing me with a brochure.
When she was almost ready, she cleaned my nipple with iodine and got out the clamps. She marked my nipple (since I opted to only do one that day)and let it go soft again. She made sure my piercing would be straight then placed the clamps back on. I made my husband hold my hand because I had never been so nervous in my life. After a few breaths in and out, she stuck the needle through. Even though I had already had 8 piercings and 3 tattoos, my nipple hurt the worst by far. I completely quit breathing and had to be reminded by her and my husband that I needed to breathe. Although I didn't cry, I sure as hell wanted to, but I kept my composure. Quickly she pulled the needle through leaving the small barbell that I had chosen. She told me that putting alcohol on it would make it feel better, and that killed the burning sensation very quick.
My husband on the other hand was a different story. He has 5 tattoos and only 2 piercings; ear and tongue. However, he is also a veteran and has experienced some pretty painful stuff over seas. So we both figured that he would be ok with the pain. The piercer went over the same stuff as she did with me as far as aftercare. Mike opted to go with a hoop instead of a barbell so we could compare feeling. I asked if he wanted me to hold his hand jokingly, but I did anyhow. Wrong thing to do. Seems that his nipples were just a little sensitive to pain, and when the needle went through, he squeezed so hard, he literally broke my hand. When she went to change Mike's jewelry it was a little more complicated. There is obviously a curve in the hoop, so it had to be threaded through. Snapping the little ball in place proved to be a little more painful also. I was glad I had opted for the barbell.
Since the piercing, Neither of us have experienced any pain, only great sensations! Not only has it sparked a new flame in out sex life, but my nipple is now so sensitive. It feels great when it is played with, and always puts me in a good mood if I am wearing a slightly loose bra. My husband and I both enjoy our piercings emensly and will both be getting our other nipples done soon!
I'm also considering getting my clitoral hood done. I've heard many good things about it and I'm sure it would add a little more fun to our already awesome sex life.
