For a couple of years I have wanted to get my nipple pierced. Not both though, just the one. I already had my nose done, navel, tongue and 4 in each ear, plus I have two tattoos. And I have had my tragus pierced three times before. I figured I was ready for the pain of having my nipple done. I have like 7 friends that all had it done before, the girls said it never hurt, but the guys I know said it hurt like a bitch. I wasn't sure who to believe but since I'd been through the pain of other piercing's I assumed I'd be okay... I could have been slightly wrong on that account.
At A Glance Author Sarah Contact Sarah@bme.anon When A week ago Artist Tamara Studio Krystal Blade Location Moncton New Brunswick, Canada My friend and I were going shopping the day before my birthday to try and find a birthday present for me. I decided to break into one of my piggy banks to get the money to get my nipple done.
After a long time of shopping we drove over to Krystal Blade. We weren't sure at first if they were even open since a lot of people (like 8) were all standing outside. I asked the guy standing in the doorway and he said they were open for another two hours. The guy came in behind us and asked us what we wanted done. I told him what I wanted and he said that Tamara (the piercer) was busy with some other customers but just to wait around until she was done. I looked around at the jewelry and all the flash that was on the walls while my friend sat around and looked kind of bored. As I waited three other girls came in behind me wanting to get their noses pierced. One said that she had her nipple done and it didn't hurt. I told her not to worry about her nose because I never thought it hurt at all.
After like half an hour she came out and I filled out the paper work and paid her. They had a sale on and all piercing's were forty dollars plus tax. But since it was a Thursday they had another deal on, thirty plus tax for all above the waist piercing's. I hadn't known before we went and was prepared to pay fifty so I was pretty psyched about how cheap it was. She apologized for taking so long but hadn't known that there was a line up waiting for her.
As she got her stuff ready I told her how I wasn't sure if I would even be able to get it pierced because they were kind of small and possibly slightly inverted. She said as long as it wasn't too inverted she'd be able to do it. She took a look, said they were inverted but she could do it. I debated on which side to pierce. Tamara told me that people said the left side hurt more, I had already thought that I'd want the right side done so it worked out good.
I sat there as she marked the spot where she'd pierce and continued getting out the needles and the clamps and the jewelry she was going to use. I was getting more nervous by the second and kind of wishing my friend had came in with me. I wasn't used to getting piercing's without someone's hand to hold.
She put the clamp on and I almost called it off. I'd forgotten that the clamp usually hurts more then the actual piercing. I think tears almost started forming. I braced myself as she said that the needle was going through in just a second. I didn't even feel the needle go through. She took the clamp off and I looked down. It wasn't bloody but I suddenly wasn't so sure if I had really wanted it done. She asked if I wanted a second before she put the jewelry in but I said to just go for it. She put the BCR in and I looked in the mirror. I wasn't totally sure if I liked it but I knew it was staying in, at least for a little bit.
It has been a week now and I'm really starting to like it. I keep hitting it when I go to change my clothes but im getting better and not hitting it and its starting to not hurt as much. Cleaning it is kind of strange holding a shot glass up to my chest but it has to be done, it would be pretty crappy to have it get infected. So far my mom hasn't seen it. I can't see it being a good thing if she finds out considering I was not allowed to get my nose done, but its hidden and I'm taking good care of it so it will turn out fine. I think its probably the last piercing I'll have for awhile, I ran out places to pierce that I'd like on me. But it was a good piercing to end with I think. It was definitely the most painful thing I've had done so far.
My advice to anyone that wants this done, if you want it go for it. But brace yourself for the clamp!
