It was friday the thirteenth, and I decided I wanted to get my nipples pierced. My friends and I found this new studio that opened where an old one used to be in our town, and we went there all the time to just hang out and talk to the people who worked there, all of which were only in their twenty's. After hanging out there for a while, my friends had been tattooed and pierced there so i decided it was my turn. I had already got a star tattoo on my wrist by megz in march and wanted something else, I craved it! So after talking with mark for a while I was convinced, I wanted to get my nipples pierced.

There were also other people who were there all the time, they didn't work there but they seemed like they did just like I'm sure we seemed like we did, or that we were getting stuff done every time we went in there. We would sit there for hours and help them with new idea's on what they could draw as new tattoo images. I myself have three tattoos one of which I got there a little star outline on my wrist and two nautica starts on my hips from another studio called Halo Graphics. Both places were very sanitary and I knew the people well. And I knew people who had gotten inked and pierced at both places.
It took me a while to work up the courage to go in the back with mark and my friends, but when I finally did mark explained everything to me and showed me how all the needles and stuff were sterilized. Which is very important when getting tattooed and/or pierced. Once I finally worked up the guts to take my shirt off in front of everyone I was told to stand up so I could get marked then I sat back down and mark clamped my nipple, which I think was the worst part of the whole piercing experience, then he told me to breath in and out...and on the third time he pushed the needle through my right nipple. It wasn't that bad just like getting your navel pierced.
Then he moved over to the left and he told me that the second one usually is a little more discomforting than the first one. Again he clamped my nipple and told me to breath, then he pushed the needle through, but he had to give it a extra push for it to go all the way through. That's what he meant when he said the second one was more discomforting than the first.
I think that nipple piercings are amazing. It doesn't hurt anymore than getting your navel done, which I also had done, but it got infected and started to grow out. I had it for six months and it was fine for a while, but mark said it happens and to wait at least two weeks, it's been about a month and I'm so excited to go back and get my navel re-pierced. I don't like not having the piercing there any more and this month has been long. The pain is short only like a minute or so..maybe less...and after care is easy. Just listen to what the piercer tells you to do..there are many ways to clean your piercings but listen to whoever pierced it because their way is probably better than listening to what your friends say. Also I was able to sleep on my nipples the first night.
Getting my nipples pierced was a good decision, their more sensitive, and they look amazing, especially since I think my boobs are too big, but everyone loves them and the way they look. So I highly recommend getting them done if your thinking about it. However, piercings are not ment for everyone. Go to different studio's and talk to people who work there, talk to people that have what your looking for and get different opinions, AND PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU GO SOMEWHERE SANITARY...it is very dangerous if you don't.
Getting a piercing or tattoo is a big deal no matter what anyone says. It alters your body. Make sure you do your research and know exactly what you want and whatever questions you have make sure you ask them, to get a piercing is one thing, because if you don't like it you can take it out, but to get a tattoo that is there forever. I love all of my tattoo's and piercings, and I can't wait to get more. So if your thinking about getting anything done make sure you do your research, and GO FOR IT!
