I am 18 and I have always wanted piercings and tattoos. The first piercing that I got was my belly button when I turned 16. Then on my 18th birthday I decided that I wanted to get my tongue pierced. So I did. Now my mom wasn't too happy about the fact that I got my tongue pierced but her and my dad don't want me to get anything on my face pierced. So I got my tongue pierced instead. Now after having two piercings I just had to have more. So what other piercing could I get that wouldn't be seen. The nipple.

I have heard so many storied about nipple piercings hurting that I was incredibly scared. I hate pain and try to avoid it at all costs. I even went to Amused (where I get all my piercings) but chickened out and never asked the girl to do it. Finally after talking about it for months my best friend Tiffany told me that I was going to do it even if she had to hold me down onto the table.
Once I got the money to have it done me, Tiffany, her boyfriend, my boyfriend, and another friend all decided to go for a trip to Lafayette. Before we left me and Tiffany sat in her room looking at my nipple trying to imagine what it would look like with a piercing. I even had her squeeze my nipple to see how much pain I could take. Aparently I don't have all that much feeling in my nipples. Maybe that's why whenever they are getting touched it doesn't arouse me.
Anyway. Once we got to Lafayette my heart felt like it was trying to pound right out of my chest. We got into Amused and I asked the guy behind that counter if the piercer was there. He said yes but that she had two other people to pierce before me. So I had to wait for almost an hour. In this hour time I tried looking around the store at all their awesome dresses, skirts, hats, and pursed but I was getting more and more nervous. I got so nervous that I had to sit down because my knees were getting weak and wobbly. After what seemed like ages it was finally my turn.
I went over to her counter and told her that I wanted to get my left nipple pierced. (Now deciding on what nipple to get pierced was a hard decision. I decided on the left one because I am left handed and hold practically everything in my right arm so that my left is free.) She handed me some papers that I had to read, fill out, and sign. She then asked me if I wanted a barbell or a hoop. I told her a barbell. ( I think that barbells seem like that they would be easier to hide.) She picked out a few sized of barbells to see which one would fit my nipple size. After paying for my piercing it was time to go to the back room.
Me, Tiffany, and my boyfriend Sean all went to the back room and waited for her to wash her hands and return. When she walked in she imediately started talking about this particular piercing, the risks of having it, and how to take care of it. She then told me to "disrobe" so she could mark me up. She used a toothpick to make the marks and then told me to look in the mirror to see if I thought that it was parallel to the ground. Of course it was. I then had to lie down on the table and get ready for the piercing.
I reached over and grabbed Sean's hand. Melody (the piercer) put on the clamp and told me to take a few deep breaths. Before I knew it the needle had gone through and she was putting in the barbell. As soon as she said "all done" I looked down and said "rock on!" It didn't hurt at all! I was shocked at how many storied I had heard about nipple piercings hurting! Mine didn't hurt at all!
Now that I have my nipple pierced I realized how much more feeling I have in it. I love it! I don't wash it all that much but it seems to be doing fine. There isn't any crusties or juices coming out of it so it seems to be doing alright.
I would recommend everyone to get their nipples pierced! I'm just ready to get more money so that I can get my right one pierced and not feel so lopsided.
