Way back in 1996 when I was living in Las Vegas, Nevada, I became interested in the whole body piercing idea. At first, I thought that being a guy and having a body piercing was a silly idea. But this changed as I found this site and began to ponder the possibility of having metal in my body.

I went ahead and got this procedure done at Swag Piercing. Soon afterwards, I started to get some more ideas about piercings.
After about six months of thinking about my next piercing, I decided to go back to Swag and get my right nipple pierced. I went with a standard 14 gauge captive bead. A few days later after the swelling and sensitivity went down, I went again to get my left nipple pierced.
I was content with my piercings and found that the girls at the night clubs really like seeing pierced nipples so that was pretty cool showing my pierced nipples and seeing there pierced nipples too. But as what happens to most that get pierced, once or twice isn't enough and this addiction continues.
About a year later, I decided to put some more metal in my nipples, so again I returned to Swag. This time, I went with a vertical bar in my left nipple and a smaller hoop in my right nipple. Although this was really cool, I was still not willing to let certain people see my piercings.
At my mom's wedding, I decided to take out my nipple jewelry when I went to the swimming pool. Well this turned out to be a big mistake, as I could not get my fresh piercings back in. So I was left with my two original piercings.
Well fast foward about another six months, and I was back again at Swag to stretch my nipples to a 12 gauge. Well I thought that this was going to hurt like hell. But in reality, my nipples were pretty compliant, and only a small amount of discomfort followed.
You would think this was it, but no way!
About two years later, or about two years ago while in college, I decided that these 12 gauge rings were getting pretty sorry, so I decided to check this small little shop in Laramie, Wyoming. The people inside were very nice and the piercer was a pretty cool woman. I asked her if she thought that I could step up to some cool 8 gauge rings that were in the display case. She told me that it might be a bit uncomfortable but that she could do it.
I was escorted to a small room and got ready to try this out. I took off my shirt and removed my old rings. Then she proceeded to stretch my nipples until she finally got both of the rings in. The procedure was not too bad, but I guess I am pretty good at tolerating pain.
After these piercings fully healed(about 8 months), I was bored one day so I went back to this same shop and saw some big 4 gauge rings. Just out of curiosity, I asked this same piercer if she could step me up to this size. She smiled and told me that this was going to hurt me, but she could give it a shot.
I went to the back room and got ready, but this time I was actually a little scared. These rings looked so much thicker than my old ones and I wondered if my nipples were big enough to put this honkers in them.
She started with my left nipple, and this process took almost 15 minutes. It hurt so bad I was starting to get light headed and tears were coming from my eyes. But I was determined to get this done, so I beared the agonizing pain. Just when I thought I would have to call it quits, the metal finally went through my nipple. She had me sit up for a minute to regain my composure, and soon there after, she starting the right nipple. The same pain was there but at this point, the natural pain endorphins kicked in and I barely felt a thing.
When she was done, I looked at these monsters. Wow! They were so big and heavy that any movement sent shockwaves through my entire body. Even nearly two years later, I can feel the weight on my nipples. I still have to be careful not to bounce too much or the shockwaves still happen. But I think the whole piercing experience has been positive for me. It always gives me something to think about when I get bored or want a change. So if you're thinking about going bigger, I would say go for it!
