To start off, I'd like you to know I'm in the USAF and although piercing your body isn't illegal, a lot of supervision looks down on it with a bad attitude. Just make sure you follow regulations and keep it covered. My family doesn't know I've done it yet, because they are all southern and "well-bred" and it's not exactly normal for one of their boys to go out and punch holes that don't really need to be there. They all were shocked and awed by my tats and I'm waiting for the right time to inform them of my newest additions. The cool thing is that if I tell my mom, she'd probably run out and get it done too, and that would be too much for me...although it'd be awesome dinner conversation. I'm really looking forward to the look on my family's face at the next pool party or summer car wash. Well I guess I should stop talking about this and get on to what everyone really wants to know. How did the procedure go and how painful was it?

Location Boise, ID Anyways, I wouldn't be pierced right now if it wasn't for a very persistent girlfriend that gave me a good reason to do it. Not to mention it was New Years Eve. On a spur of the moment, we went to one of the local studios here in Boise, and the guy at the front desk asked what we needed. I told him I wanted to get my nipples pierced, but hadn't decided yet. I beat around the bush for about 15 minutes and made sure that I really wanted to. I had been thinking about it for a couple years and knew I wanted to be pierced, but didn't know whether it was worth the pain and money. Needless to say it was well worth it.
Myself and my girl followed "Joe" into the back room where all piercings are done, and Joe asked me to sit on his exam table while he prepared the piercing needles, supplies, and jewelry. He was very clinical and careful about keeping everything sterile and was very professional. We chose a 14g stainless ring with a small hematite bead. He then started to mark my nipples with tattoo ink and a toothpick, carefully, and slowly getting the location perfect. It took several tries on the right nipple, but the left nipple was perfect the first time. After I checked them in the mirror he asked me to lay on my back on the table. He took the clamp and gripped my left nipple tightly, causing a little pain, but not enough to be a problem. Then he asked me to breath in slowly and deeply. He then asked me to breath out all the air, and while I was breathing out he pushed the needle through. It was an exciting, but very noticeable pain that made me clench up, but not enough to scream over.
There was one small problem though, the needle was too close to the surface of the nipple, and it had to be done again, and a little deeper. It was a little more painful the second time around, and then some more sharp pain as he put the ring through. The right nipple was exactly the same, except it only took one try, and I didn't even feel any pain as the jewelry was put in. I didn't get up immediately because wanted to let the endorphines and adrenaline settle down. I was in such a good mood I couldn't help but smile. I wanted to see em so bad and my girl just kept staring and making little gestures that pretty much told me she loved it. I stood up, took a couple breaths, and smiled at the mirror, and my brand new piercings. I had to get a little blood cleaned off and once it was cleaned up Joe took some pictures and gave me instructions for cleaning.
The night went on as planned, it was 8PM when I got the piercings, and we stayed up till 3AM celebrating the new year. There was some drinking and some partying, and for the most part I forgot the piercings were there. Every time someone would say hi, my girl would be like, "He got his nipples pierced tonight", and force me to show em off to everyone. There was a little pulsating pain for a day or so and then the pain went away. They've been in for 2 weeks now and are sensitive to touch, and rarely painful unless they get too much attention. I clean them once a day with sea salt and let them rinse in the shower. I've changed the bead to a hematite cylinder and get nothing but good remarks on how they look (sexy is one word that comes up a lot), and how much certain ladies would like to play with them. It was all worth it.
