I first got the inspiration to get my nipple pierced because I have really big breasts (34dd) and also I was really into Christina Aguilera at the time and she had hers done. I have two nipple piercing experiences that I would like to share which were completely different.

Studio Abstract Arts Location Toronto, ON Anyways, one saturday morning, I called up a whole bunch of places to see if they did it and how much it cost, etc. I finally found Abstract Arts in the yellow pages and decided to give it a shot since they do walk-ins on saturdays. My friend and I took the train, bus, streetcar, etc. all the way down there (we live in the east and the shop is all the way downtown). I was actually surprised that we found the studio okay because neither of us had ever been to that area before.
So, I filled out the consent papers and was told about after care because I was getting my tongue and nipple done on the same day. The piercer had a lot of tattoos and visible piercings that I thought looked incredibly interesting. I really liked the piercer and he was extremely polite and professional and he would talked non-stop about proper after care, which I didn't realize was so important until I really got into piercings. All of the needles, jewelery were fresh and after he finished my tongue, he did my left nipple right after with a brand new needle. He counted me down as he did with my tongue and the needle went through. It was one of the most intense feelings ever!!!
Then when I looked in the mirror at the new captive ball ring going through my left nipple, it looked slightly uneven and I asked him if it was normal and he told me that it will heal properly but, I really didn't like the look of it. So he got ready to pierce my friend's belly button and he was gonna do my nipple over. He told me that most people wouldn't want it done a second time but I wanted my piercing to be perfect.
We went through the exact same procedure again with the counting, new needle and jewelery. This time, it hurt even more (now I know about the pain of the second one being worse that everyone talks about). The piercer then joked "Now lets do it vertically!" I just looked at him incredulously as we had a laugh about it.
I paid about $50 (he gave me a deal and did both my tongue and nipple for $100, but it was supposed to be more) and left and got more information about after care and he gave me a pamphlet that explained about sea salt soaks, etc. I kept the piercing for approximately 2 1/2 months before removing it because I wasn't taking care of it properly and it started to really hurt. I felt incomplete without my nipple ring and decided to get it redone and this time both because of the sensitivity factor from the first one.
I went to this local place that I found in the yellow pages that was literally in this "ghetto" mall. The lady who I had spoke to over the phone told me that each nipple would be $80 each but she gave me a deal and did both for $100.
Right away, I was extremely anxious about this place because the lady could not speak english very well. The whole procedure was different. She didn't count me down, and the room where she did it was soo small that it could only fit a chair, which i sat on, and she kneeled down on the floor in front of me.
Since she didn't count me down, the pain was more intense and I felt every second of it. She pierced both of my nipples with horseshoe barbells (is that what its called?). I liked them a lot better than the captive ball ring. When she finished piercing them, she sprayed some type of antiseptic on them and wiped it with cotton, and left the cotton ball to stick there on my nipples. The lady didn't explain anything about the aftercare, she only gave me a little sheet that said to use bactine spray. I later learned that bactine spray isn't good for puncture wounds (which is what a piercing is!!).
Now that I have had two major body piercing experiences, I have come to realize the importance of going to a legitimate place and proper procedures. Now I know not to compromise travel distance in order to get a good piercer. For my next piercing, I will be going all the way to another city to get my vertical clitoral hood done!! I recommend Abstract Arts to anyone who is looking for a professional piercer at a good price. Thanks for reading and happy piercing!
