My name is Dan. I'm 20 years old and I've had my ears pierced for about 4 years, though I just started stretching them (I'm up to 10g now). I've always had an interest in piercings and I've wanted a 'real' one since I had my ears done. My parents aren't super strict so that isn't an issue but I work in a high-end retail store so nothing facial is a possibility. Nobody's getting anywhere below my waist with a needle so my nipples were the obvious choice (not to mention my girlfriend thinks they're hottt).

I finally made the decision to do it about a month ago- but because of lack of fundage I waited. Waiting wasn't a bad thing at all because it gave me plenty of time to research and plan. For the next few weeks I read everything I could find on the subject and talked to everyone I could find. I co-worker has one of his done and described the process of getting it done as the most painful experience of his life (even worse then when he broke his leg in a car accident then tried to get out and walk on it apparently). I avoided talking to him about it as much as I could initially.

The fateful day (payday) finally arrived yesterday. I was so excited that I couldn't sleep the night before (so I ended up on this site reading everything I could). Yesterday work simply couldn't go fast enough. I spent much of the day pacing around and watching the clock. I called the shop at around 3 to let them know I was coming and they told to come in as soon as I could. I talked to my co-worker as much as I could about his piercing so I would expect the most pain I possibly could (and hopefully it wouldn't be as bad as I expected). Finally 8 o'clock rolled around and I flew out the door, to the metro to pick up my girl and then to the shop.

For anyone in Maryland, I highly recommend Mystic Piercing in Crofton. They're extremely professional and very very thorough. I walked in at about 9:15 and let them know what I wanted, filled out the paperwork and showed them my ID then headed to the piercing room. My piercer's name was Ryan and he was very good. I sat down and he showed me all the equipment he was going to use as he sterilized it, explained what he was going to do and marked my nipples. The marking took a few minutes because he was, in his own words – "Very anal about things being straight". I had no complaints about this. Finally he got the marks done and showed me where he had marked in a mirror. We decided on doing them at just a SLIGHT angle to follow the natural contour of my body. I sat down and he told me flat out that it was going to hurt- which I had prepared myself for, though I appreciated his honesty. He clamped my left nipple, which was slightly uncomfortable, but not really painful. At this point I was very anxious (my girl claims I was shaking but I don't believe it), but before I had time to think he told me to inhale deeply and exhale. As I exhaled he pushed the needle through. It was definitely painful, but not the way my co-worker had described it- it was intense, but not really sharp. After he pushed it through, he turned away for a second to grab the ring. I looked down to see the needle through my nipple, which I found to be a rather interesting sight! Putting the left ring in was slightly painful- but not really unbearable. As soon as it was in he moved onto the right one. Thinking back now, I'm glad that he moved as quickly as he did so I didn't have any time to think about the fact that I was letting this dude put needles through my nipples. He attempted to clamp the right one- which proved somewhat challenging because it had... awakened. He asked me to put my hand over it to "Calm it down", which I did and we got on with stuff. He clamped the right one, which was about as bad as the left. At this p "\Ãw"ë oint he warned me that the second one usually hurts more (which I expected after reading countless stories on bmezine). Again, before I had too much time to think about it he told me to inhale deeply and exhale. Just as before he pushed the needle through as I exhaled. This one hurt quite a bit more. It was a VERY intense and sharp pain- but it only lasted a few seconds. Putting the ring through wasn't much better. He asked me how I was feeling, which wasn't bad at the moment, then walked out to grab the camera. A few seconds later I got very hot and started to feel a bit dizzy. He came back in and snapped a pic, then I told him that I wasn't feeling great. He told me to lay down on this bed that was in the room and he grabbed a cool, wet washcloth and put it on my forehead and gave me an icy-pop. While I was lying down he told me not to worry about feeling bad because it was just endorphins and adrenaline kicking my ass and once I was feeling a little better he went over aftercare. After all this was done I got the first good looks at my nips in a mirror- and I absolutely love them.

They've been done for a full 24 hours now and they're definitely still a bit tender. Cleaning for the first time proved a bit challenging, but it's gotten better. I've found that if I press just above the nipple- so that it's kind of turned up, it's easier to turn the ring (which wasn't fun the first time). Also- sleeping on my stomach (which I usually do) isn't really a possibility- but I'm sure it'll get better in time. Overall though, I'm very pleased with them and I can't wait till they heal so I (and my woman) can have a little fun with them. Oh yes! For anyone considering this- make sure you wear warm clothes if it's winter when you get it done. Freshly pierced nipples and cold weather don't mix!
