I suppose I should start by introducing myself alittle. My name is Kevin, and I am 18. For quite awhile now I've wanted my nipples pierced, not to show them off but to feel better about myself. I'm a bigger guy, and I've always hated everything about it. Every time I looked in the mirror I would feel more and more terrible about myself. Finally I decided it was time to do what I had wanted for so long. Since I hate other people seeing me with no shirt on, and I didn't feel comfortable letting my piercer do it, I decided to do the piercings myself.

**Warning – Please be careful, and research before you do your own piercings. Make sure you feel totally comfortable doing your own modifications. It can be dangerous if you are not experienced. I am not responsible for your actions**

I placed my order through BMEshop, and waited a week for it to arrive. The shipping was quick, the service was great as usual. As soon as it arrived I was really excited. I had the pennington forceps sterilized, and decided it was time to pierce my nipples.

I set up a small "work station" in the bathroom. I put a bit of lube on some paper towel, took my clamps out, took the needle out and marked the spots on my nipple. I put the clamp on, they were very tight and painful. I put some lube on the needle and held it up to the entry mark. I pushed slowly and began to feel the needle slice through my skin. I pushed harder, and I could feel the needle coming through the other side. I pushed more, and suddenly felt the needle break through. At this point I was starting to shake alittle, and decided to sit down. As I was sitting, I pushed the needle through a bit more. At this point I felt OK to stand up again. The whole time I was looking in the mirror. I removed the clamps, and prepared the jewelry to go in. I put a bit of lube on it, and lined it up with the back of the needle. I leaned over the sink and pushed the jewelry through. The needle fell and the jewelry was in. Again I was shaking pretty bad, so I sat down to put the ball on the barbell. I stood up, looked in the mirror, and fell in love.

After doing the first nipple, I decided it was time to do the next one. I marked the spot, put the clamp on, and lined the needle up. I was shaking really bad from doing the first one, so I took a minute to try to get the adrenaline under control. I pushed the needle through quickly. It went about half way through and I stopped for a second. I sat down because I was shaking terribly. I pushed the needle more, and felt it break through the other side. At this point I noticed a small amount of blood, and the lube. I stayed sitting for a few minutes. Finally I stood up, removed the clamps, lubed up the jewelry and followed the needle with it. The needle fell to the ground and I looked in the mirror. Something wasn't right about it, I thought to myself. I put the ball on the barbell and decided to leave it in. I threw away all of the paper towel and the autoclave pouches, and dropped my needle in a sharps container. **If you are going to do your own piercings, or pierce others, MAKE SURE you have a sharps container** I went to bed happy.

In the morning I woke up, and both nipples were a little tender. I looked in the mirror and wasn't happy with the right nipple (the second one I did). I knew my mistake, and I wanted to fix it. I removed the jewelry from the right nipple, and checked out my left nipple. It was perfect! My mistake with the second one was, doing it while I was shakey and unprepared for another piercing. I was comfortable admitting my mistake. I decided to wait until it is fully healed, and then I will repierce it.

I must say, my new nipple piercing definitely makes me feel more complete. I feel happier with myself, and I don't mind looking at myself with no shirt on. I'm proud that I did my left nipple myself, and I really look forward to doing my right nipple again. Out of all my piercings; 8g tongue, 14g tongue web, 14g industrial, 00g lobes, 14g septum, 14g labret...the nipple makes me feel more complete.

If you feel uncomfortable looking at yourself with no shirt on, try getting your nipples pierced. I'm not sure what it is about it, but it just looks so much better. I love looking at myself in the mirror with no shirt on now. I still don't like letting everyone see me with no shirt on, but I feel a lot better about myself.
