After the start of a difficult day I joined my boyfriend J, in a park round the corner from his house. I sat down, had a bit of a moan, and he popped out with... 'Fancy getting your nipple pierced?' Little did he know that I had been contemplating getting it done for the last couple of days, but hadn't actually told him, or made a decision. Cheeky smile covering my face I said, 'Yeah why not?!?' After a couple of minutes shock (he was only pissing about, and didn't actually think I would say yes) we took a walk down to Seventh Sun.
At A Glance Author shmoo Contact shmoo@bme.anon When A week ago Studio 7th Sun Location Woolwich, London J's had facial piercing's in the past, but has since taken them out, and he started to contemplate getting something done with me.'Why don't you get your nipple done with me?' I questioned, and after a small amount of persuasion, he agreed. We booked ourselves in, and anxiously waited around.
Never having had a body piercing, I wasn't quite sure what to expect pain wise.'Brace yourself for the worst pain, that way it wont b so painful' J said, and after pinching each others nipples quite hard, he wasn't too keen on getting his nipple done. And my stomach was starting to do back flips. Time nearly upon us, we took a walk back to Seventh Sun. Getting more nervous by the minute. Still unsure, I asked one of the ladies who worked in the shop if she had her nipple done, (she had a lot of piercing's) and if she had, how much it had hurt. She told me that it wasn't the most painful, but one of the most painful piercing's she had. After seeing the look on my face, she told me not too worry. Reassuring me that people find different piercing's painful, some people find nipples painful, some don't. Maybe I would be someone who wouldn't. But I doubted that! After giving me some tips (and J deciding to get his lip pierced instead of his nipple) it was time.
As it was my first time, and J knew the people in the shop, he was allowed to come in with me. We were left in the room alone for a while, whilst the jewellery was being sterilised, and I took a look around. My eye caught the clamps, and I knew where they were destined for. Getting even more nervous, I let my eyes drift around the room, and I caught sight of a needle in a packet. Picking it up I stared at it .....which I don't think was too good an idea. 'Look at that.' (forgetting that he's been pierced before) I showed it to J. 'I don't like the thought of that going through my nipple!'
After getting over the excitement of sitting in a room with his girlfriend, who had her top off, and had a woman touching her nipple. J held my hand, and I braced myself for the worst. Nipple at the ready, she marked out where she was going to pierce, I agreed on the positioning and she clamped me up. I was quite surprised, as people who I know who have had piercing's, say the clamp is the most painful bit. Noticing that I was quite nervous, the lady who was piercing me started up a conversation, cracking a couple of jokes, which I have to say worked. I turned away, hoping that if I didn't see it going through my nipple I wouldn't feel it. I have to admit ..... it was a lot more painful than I was expecting, and I did let out a small yelp of pain in the process (embarrassingly). J was quite surprised at this yelp, because apparently I'm 'As tough as nails.' The woman piercing me asked if I had any other body piercing's, (and after I told her I had none) she reassured me that I had gone for a fairly painful first piercing. But when it was all over, and I looked in the mirror, I was extremely pleased with the way it looked. I then sat back, calmed down, and watched J get his lip done.
Its been a week since I had my nipple pierced. I was told to spray it with Savlon antiseptic wound wash twice a day. For the first couple of days it was tender and I had to sleep in a bra. But a week on and its fine, only hurting when I catch in on certain things, such as clothes. I am extremely pleased with my nipple piercing, and I am seriously contemplating getting my other one done. For anyone who is thinking about getting their nipple pierced I would recommend it. Although it is quite painful (well at least I thought it was) the extra sensitivity you are given afterwards, and the way it looks is well worth it!!
