For months I wanted nipple piercings. I had recently gotten into mods and I thought they were unique and exciting. A co-worker of mine had gotten her nipples done and she told me that the pain was minimal for her, and that my experience might be different. She wasn't kidding.

I had gotten my tattoo at Victory and they were the best. Amber took me in the back room and pleasantly asked me what prompted this move on my part. I told her that she had pierced my co-worker, and that my girlfriend and my friends know me as a big talker but when it comes right down it....I probably wouldn't do it. I told her this time was different.
I like the look. Nipples are nipples and it was my believe that an adornment would look nice.
I proceeded to take off my shirt and she methodically cleansed and disinfected the area. She cleaned and re-cleaned the area to make sure everything was cool. That is one of the reasons Victory is great. Their studio is immaculate, clean and very professional. She then clamped my small nipples....mine are tiny. She asked me if I was ready. I said yes. Then she said something that rattled me....."Alright, this is gonna hurt a little, but be sure to keep breathing, take deep breaths and keep breathing." I don't know about you folks, but that was a bad sign.
She asked, "are you ready ?" I nodded, "sure." In went the needle...Oh my Goodness, Sweet Jehovah, El Supermercado es muy grande. That mutha hurt. It was one of the most intense pains I have ever felt. But, the pain lasted for about 1.6 seconds and then it subsided into this serene type of stinging ecstacy. I mean the rush of pain, joy and accomplishment was fantastic. After the first 1.6....I enjoyed the pain. As she connected the hoop and secured the piercing, I just remember breathing and feeling an intense pain and joy. Amber asked, "you o.k."...."oh yeah."
The next one went by so quickly, but again it was pain and exhiliration. As the needle pierced my erect nipple it started to bleed. I looked down and as soon as I saw the blood and felt the pain....I thought this is only a pain that someone who knows joy can feel. It was great. The experience....was one.... and I was thrilled to have my new adornments.
My girlfriend works next door to the tattoo shop and I walked in and handed her the care sheet. You know, the piece of paper they give you reminding you how you should care for your new pierceing or tattoo. She looked at it and said, "What's this ?" Her eyes then got huge. "No you didn't." she exclaimed. She immediatley looked down at my pants. She thought I pierced the family jewels. I started to laugh. "No, no, I didn't go there." I had threatened to have a genital piercing......so that, of course, was the first thing she thought of. I had never mentioned to her that I would get my nipples pierced. I started undoing my shirt and she was stunned. Absolute disbelief. I could tell it wasn't her cup of tea, but I didn't do this for her I did it for myself.
The reaction at work was much different. My co-worker who had hers done...loved them. She initially said, "I can't believe you did it." I nodded, "I can't believe I did it either." I had recently lost about 25 pounds, so it felt good to show my new piercings with not having to worry about a Buddha belly. Even my male friends at work liked them. In fact, one of my buds said, "those look sweet." My boss, who is the best boss ever, thought they were great and said they went well with my skin tone. I have some Basque blood so my skin gets real brown when I get some sun. It was really a great experience....getting the piercings and then showing them off.......Well, of course I would like showing them off....I am an exhibitionist.
Everything went well and now I am thinking about bigger hoops or possibly even studs. My advice, be ready for some intense pain, be ready for a unique experience, and even if your friends or significant others try to dissuade you from the piercings....search yourself, and ask yourself is this something I want to do that will make me happy. You are getting it done for yourself, not for anyone else. The pain of a nipple piercing can be blinding and quite intense but for those of us who have taken the plunge it can feel oh so good.
