I have gotten 12 piercings over the years, as well as doing a few myself. I do not usually think about them much before hand, it is usually a spur of the moment thing. I always wondered what it would be like to get a nipple or genital piercing, but never actually believed that I would take the next step and get one. Many of my friends have had their nipples pierced and every person would tell me something different. Some said that it hurt a lot, others said that it was almost painless. My friend decided to go and get her tongue pierced after months of begging her parents, and I volunteered to go with her. A trip to Scotia is always worth it.

When we first went in, Tim had not arrived yet. So we waited for a bit and decided to come back later. We called ahead of time so that we knew he was there for sure. When we got in the door, the room was packed. All of the seats were full, the stairs were littered with teenage girls, and a few angry parents were pacing around. Needless to say we had to wait a while.

After an hour or so some people got fed up and left. We had time to socialize with some of the other people there. Two girls and one guy were also getting nipple piercings. Thank god they were going first, they said that they would tell me how bad it was. It is a great thing that Scotia is so colorful and interesting, or else I never would have been able to sit there as long as I did. My friend was getting impatient and scared. I already had my tongue pierced by Tim so I spent quite a while trying to convince her that it was painless. Which really was the truth. Thanks you guys! You do an awesome job!

The longer I sat, the more I just wanted to get the whole thing over with. The nervousness in my stomach was also getting worse as the time went by. After about two hours the crowd had thinned, only four more piercings before us. My friend started to panic which made me feel a lot worse as well. Tim came out and gave the piercing speech which I have heard a million times before. I tuned out and started looking through some tattoo magazines. That is when I heard a girl scream in the other room. I asked Andrew what she had just gotten done. Of course, it was her nipple. :)

It was about then that I started getting the shakes. It is weird to think that I have so many tattoos and piercings and I still shake when I am waiting for another. The girl just before me was heading in to get her nipple pierced, and I vowed not to get it done if I heard her scream too. She came out ten minutes later saying how it barely hurt at all. I calmed down a bit as we walked back to the room.

I said that I wanted to go first before I chickened out. Tim told me to take of my shirt and bra, and put on a zip up hooded sweatshirt that he had. After that he marked my nipple while I was standing up to make sure that it would be straight. He told me that he was going to use a 14g captive bead ring. I sat down on the chair and he tilted it back. I warned him that I would most likely twitch, that was a good idea. He told me to take a deep breath in, and pushed the needle through when I was breathing out. I yelled but thankfully it was not too loud. All I said was "That was the most painful thing I have ever felt in my life." Tim thought that was pretty funny.

After watching my friend get her tongue stabbed we walked out to the car and drove home. Cleaning my new piercing was not pleasant at all. Actually, any kind of touch was excruciating for the first 12 hours. Everyday it got a bit better. Right now I actually have a bit of infection which I am really not proud of, but it happens.

I do not have any more pain whatsoever, and it has become about ten times more sensitive. Finally! I can actually get enjoyment out of having my breasts touched! For anyone who is considering getting this piercing, I recommend it. The pain is definitely the worst part about it, and it is tender for a week or so. I must say that I feel completely comfortable in Tim's hands at Scotia or I never would have gone through with it.
