I started piercing when I was 18 in Connecticut. Now I am 22 and living back in California. I am trying to get back into the swing of things after having a baby and all. I had to build up my equipment as I had left it in the move. Now searching for a apprenticship I have to use willing people to practice on. MY friend had expressed to me awhile ago that he wanted his nipples pierced so last week I went to his place and did it up for him.

I explained the procedure to him, set everything up and in no time both piercings were complete. They went extremly well. I thought to myself later on after I got home that I wanted to have my nipples pierced too. I didnt want to go and get them done somewhere else, so I figured I could do it. I thought about it for a second and without anymore hesitation I brought out my supplies and equipment, cleaned everything up and marked my nipples. Then I was ready to go.

I Cleaned the surface to rid of any bacteria that could cause infection. I started to get scared, telling myself that my mind was going to tell myself to stop because I would be causing myself pain. It is very easy to pierce others because you know what you have to do...It is quick because you arent the one feeling it and you just get the job done. But I trust my work and knew I could do it.

I clamped my left nipple well aware of the possiblitiy that it is going to be harder to do on myself. I set the needle on the dot that I had marked prior. Most guys nipples are so much smaller than a woman, and the nipple skin is alot tougher than one would anticipate. Like a checkerboard in layer, I could hear the needle entering every fine bit. Finally it was through and I paused.

Why was it taking me so long? I remember getting piercings done by others when I was in a shop and it went so quickly when I was there. Looking away, waiting for the prick. Finally, I tread through the barbell and attached the ball. I was so excited. Glad that one was over, and then I remembered Righty...Waiting. One down, one more to go!

I took a quick breather and proceeded to clamp and prick, and then the same way got the barbell through. All the time my eyes fixed on the penitrating needle. They came out excellent. Perfect and straight. They look awesome!!! I couldnt look away.

Not only am I now a walking portfolio of my own work, but I also have impressed alot of people I have talked to. It is bringing me alot of business. I have been praised for the fact that I have trusted my own work. Hell ya, who wouldnt? If you cant trust your own work than you shouldn't expect others to trust you.

I am so glad that I had this experience. It has tought me to put myself in the place of my client. To Understand where they are coming from. To be more comforting and kind, all due to the fact that I know what they went through. Experience is the best teacher and for that I am so greatful.

My nipples (which I like to call "my girls") are healing up just fine. They look amazing! I couldnt be happier. I called to check on the guy who had inspired my own modification due to his nipple piercing. He is just as pleased as I am and that is just the best feeling in the world. I found that piercing isnt about the money, (which I knew in the first place wasnt all that great...hehehehe) but I just get a real sense of satisfaction, knowing that what I did will be the topic of conversation for the next month, and a constant obession, atleast until they come back for their next piercing. Most of all...I live for that smile, that look when they stand in front of the mirror for the first time, examining their piercing. Total elation...Either that, or relief because they probably figured they would pass out at the site of a needle. Either way, I help people express themselves. I love that. I love my job. Now how many people can say that everyday?

I recommend anyone who is interested in becoming a body piercer to just go for it. Get the proper training and do your thing! There is so much to learn and it is all so exciting! I have met so many cool people! Touched each of their lives! If anyone would like to chat it up, I am on AIM at boyz4pelle, and my email is cre8erprncess@hotmail.com. I also run a Tattoo/piercing group on ICQ called Slingerchic's tattoo group. Come check us out!
