Anyway I first got my right nipple pierced on holiday in summer 2001, I'd had the idea in my head for a while but never got round to it in the UK, the piercing was pretty much the same as you'll read in loads of the stories on BME, it was a really standard nipple piercing, with a CBR and I loved it. My friends got really freaked out when I told them in a bar. Some random pissed guy sat down at our table and started telling us that he wanted to get his tongue pierced so he could return the favours that his girlfriend was giving him with her new oral addition. One of my friends asked him if he had any others, he said he had a nipple ring and was saying how painful it was. So I turned to him and said, "oh I didn't think it was that bad when I had mine done" my friends all laughed thinking I was taking the piss out of him, but when they started to doubt me I lifted up my shirt and laughed at their faces as their jaws hit the floor.
I kept that one in for about 2 years, occasionally swapping the CBR for a barbell. And in October 2002 I got my frenum done, having a needle pushed through your dick needs a story to itself!
Anyway last summer my beloved nipple ring had to go. I was going on holiday with my girlfriend's parents and they would not have liked the pierced look! So with much regret I took out the barbell, of course I kept the frenum, there was no conceivable way they'd see that while we were away!
Rolling on to October 03, the frenum was now a year old and by far the easiest piercing to look after, minimum effort maximum fun! But I still missed my nipple ring, so I decided I'd get done again. I didn't want to get my right nipple re-done, the hole had sealed up well just leaving a couple of raised bumps where the holes used to be. So I started having a look on BME.
I'd already had a standard nipple so I wanted to go for something a bit different, I had a look at the pics and was kind of interested in a vertical nipple but wasn't overly keen on the look, then I thought ... how about diagonal? I couldn't really find any info on the net about them but figured it couldn't be too different from a standard nipple, and if google can't find anything on it then it's different enough for me.
I went to Manchester and headed for Afflecks palace, I'd heard it had a good reputation and was a really clean studio. I went in and filled in all the usual forms, and had to wait a few minutes for the piercer to get ready. I went in the little room and explained what I wanted doing, I took off my shirt and he started to mark up. I've got very flat nipples so the piercing is pretty long and goes through the areola ( I think that's the name for the red bit round the nipple) anyway the guy said he could stick it through at any angle I wanted so I went for a 45 degree with the higher side on the outside (closer to my arm). He disinfected my nipple, sprayed it with freeze spray and sorted out the equipment, it was all individually wrapped and he changed his gloves after he'd done anything. By now I was well numb so I sat up straight and breathed to his count, after a small tug the needle was through, and he slipped the jewellery in really easily. I had a look in the mirror and t hought it looked really cool. He said he hadn't done a diagonal before but he was impressed and said he'd recommend it to other people, I joked that I hope they don't take up the idea or It wont be as exclusive. He gave me the usual aftercare info and I walked off into Manchester with a big smug grin on my face knowing I had metal on my chest again.
The whole thing healed really well, I was careful to use salt washes and anti bacterial soap. A word of advice, just be careful with tight t shirts they can catch when you're taking them off. I can now play with it without any pain. Plus it looks really cool.
So if anyone wants to get their nipples done but wants to be a bit different go diagonal, I can't wait to show it off in summer, I'm thinking of what else I can get done, it's 6 months since the nipple and I'm starting to feel the need again. I'd like to get my tongue, belly button and PA done, but I can't be bothered with the hassle of the tongue, and my girlfriend's not convinced about the PA so I think the belly button will be next.
