I had always liked the way the nipple piercing looked. And i thought it would be great to get it pierced. I did allot of research on it, and looked at allot of pictures on the bmezine
gallery. I decided I wanted to get pierced with a barbell, because I thought it would be more comfortable and I have also had problems with hoops in the past. I chose a different piercer from the one I usually go to. I had been having problems with my piercings(they were not going deep enough), so I thought I would try another piercer. I rang the studio, and the piercer told me it would be fine to come in any time I wanted, and that I didn't need to make an appointment. I decided to go in on the next wednesday.I was starting to get very nervous about it. I didn't think I could go through with it. I was more nervous about getting my shirt off in front of a stranger than pain or anything else.
Well, the day came. It was nearly time for me to get my nipple pierced. I had a good breakfast, and made sure I took something sweet with me. For some reason, I wasn't very nervous at all. I was actually very excited about it.
When i got there, I got that sinking feeling in my stomach. I walked into the shop, and my heart was beating really fast. I was now feeling a little nervous, and shaking. I told the receptionist that I wanted my nipple pierced, I then signed a form, payed and was told to wait a couple of minutes for the piercer to set up.
I looked at some of the jewelry in the shop while I was waiting, then the piercer said she was ready now. I walked into the room, and it was very clean and bright! It made me feel at ease, and the piercer was so friendly. She asked me what side I wanted pierced, and if I wanted a hoop or a barbell. I told her I wanted a barbell. She put on her apron and gloves while I was removing my shirt. She marked the entry and exit point on my nipple, and then I checked to see if it was ok. I then sat down on the chair, and she removed the needle from its packaging. She clamped my nipple, and told me to take a deep breath in. On the exhale, she pierced it. It wasn't painful at all. I was actually really surprised at how little it hurt. I hardly even felt anything. The clamps were removed, then she followed the jewelry through a tube. She told me once again to take a deep breath in and out. This didn't hurt at all either. The jewelry was now in place, and my nipple was covered with a pla ster. She went through the aftercare with me, and asked if I was feeling ok. I thanked her, and left the studio.
As soon as I started to walk outside, my nipple began to burn! It kept coming and going, but it still felt great. I was so happy id actually gone through with it. For the rest of the night, it continued to burn. It was a little sore, but was bearable. It was swollen, and a little red.
The next morning, there was no pain in my nipple. I had a slight achy feeling in my breast, but that was all. It was looking great! Still slightly swollen, and my nipple was much more sensitive when touched or brushed against my shirt.
It took about a week for the aching in my breast to go down. It's now been three months, and I have still had no pain in my nipple. I've had no problems with it so far, and its still more sensitive than before it was pierced. It is also a little bigger in size than the other nipple. I would like to get the other one pierced some time, but I don't know when i will. I have been taking great care of it. I have banged it on things by accident, when getting dressed. Im glad that I chose a barbell, because I find it so comfortable. Im very pleased that I got it pierced. For me, it was a great experience. It felt great! And I don't regret it. Its got to be my most favorite piercing, and to be honest, I actually thought my lobes were more painful! My boyfriend loves it too, and he is thinking about getting his pierced now on the same side as mine. My advise to anyone who is thinking about getting their nipple/s pierced, is to just go for it! You will love it.
