A lot of people say that they have been thinking about getting their piercings done for a while and finally they had the courage to do it. Well that wasn't the case with me. One weekend in March I went to Montréal with my Spanish class for high school. The hotel we were staying at was right across the street from a piercing/tattoo parlor and since all the kids were underage and there is no age limit in Canada a lot of people snuck over to get their tongues pierced. Well since I already have mine done I just ended up buying a tongue ring.

He suggested the industrial (which I did end up getting later when I went back to Montréal with some friends.) Well mid conversation I had to leave because our teacher came over and started flipping out (because someone was caught going there and everyone was "forbidden" to go there and well, I just don't listen to well.) I explained to her that I just wanted to get a new tongue ring because my other one broke and I didn't want it to close up and they all just came with me (which was a lie but hey, it worked.) After that we went back to the hotel and started to drink. The guys started to talk about how nipple piercings were hot and that all girls should get them. Then all of a sudden my friend dropped his cigarette on the floor and started a huge commotion and that was the end of the topic of piercings and I didn't think about it again.
That was probably in March and I turned 18 in April. For my birthday I wanted to get something done just for me. I was thinking about a tattoo but I decided against it (which I'm glad I did because the one I have now is SO cute but anyway) So the day before my birthday I asked Tony if he wanted to drive me to the piercing place tomorrow. He asked me how come but I just told him to drive me there and that it wasn't something I wanted to tell him yet and he'd eventually see it, this was for me. I asked because I heard that it could hurt enough where taking turns would be a killer. He agreed and we decided that once we get out of school we'd go to my house, drop my car off and then drive over. However, this girl Kris overheard us talking and asked if she could go. I said sure because she was on of my close friends.
That day in school everyone was asking me what the big secret was but I wouldn't tell them because this was just for me. We got in the piercing place and I gave them my name, filled out some paper work and she told me it would be like 15 minutes. I wandered around the store and all of a sudden it hit me; I was going to get my nipples pierced.
All of a sudden I got really freaked out and I had to go outside and smoke a cigarette. Well Kris and Tony came with me and I told them what I was here for. Tony got really excited and told me how he's always wanted to see a girl with her nipples pierced but that I couldn't tell his girlfriend because she would be a little pissed. Kris looked mortified and started to try and talk me out of it, which wasn't a possibility. Once I have something I want done in my head, it stays there until I get it.
Anyway, the guy who was in front of me came out of the store and the lady came out and said she was ready for me whenever I was ready. I went in and she told me to take my shirt off. I was in a joking mood and I asked her if that was how she handled everything and if it always worked and she laughed and said the it seems that I'm not too nervous.
The place was very clean and Kris and Tony sat on a little bench thing they have in the room. She told me to lay down and I said how this just keeps better and better; first I am told to take off my shirt and then I'm told to lay down (I was joking though; I'm not a lesbian and neither is she, I don't think.) I wore a halter top with a built in bra which I strongly suggest. It was so easy, all I had to do was pull the top over my head and my stomach was still covered. It made me feel a little more secure about the whole thing. She rubbed some stuff on my nipples and cleaned them. I don't really remember if she got them hard or if I did, but they were. Then she marked them where they would be and I told her that was fine because I was just anxious to get them done since I had two other people in the room, I just wanted to get covered up again. The piercing didn't even hurt (at least that's what I think.) I didn't even flinch when I got them done. They stung a li ttle bit but I think it was totally worth it. The only time they hurt was when I got hit in gym class with a softball and they started to bleed but that was only like a week after I had them done.
I don't know what I would do without them; I haven't met a guy who hasn't loved them. I'd suggest them to everyone but I would also say make sure you are comfortable as you can because it wouldn't be an "enjoyable" experience if you weren't. I love having my nipples pierced and knowing something not everyone else does. I wouldn't change it for the world. Feel free to email me if you have any thing to ask or comment on.
