I'd been contemplating getting my nipple pierced for a long time, actually since like the eighth grade. But i could never talk my mom and dad into it. So one day when I knew I was going to the mall and passing a studio on my way there I decided I was going to get it done.

It was our stop next we got off the bus walked across the street and went into the studio. I'm not overly fond of the way it looks, its major retro with like lime green chairs and weird tiles. I think it gives it an unclean look, But whatever cause I know the shop if definitely clean. So I proceeded to the front counter where he was sitting in a chair fiddling with his thumbs, I told him that I wanted one of my nipples done and asked if he had time within an hour since I did not have an appointment. He went and looked at his day planner and came back to inform me that surely he did, it must have been my lucky day. The only downfall was that a girl was coming in to get her tongue pierced in a few minutes, so I had to wait I looked at flash art on the walls and in some books to keep me occupied. As I was waiting I got really nervous, I was sha king pretty badly and considering taking on this adventure a different day. But I sucked up the fear and went on, I filled out all the necessary forms and waited to be called upon. I heard a familiar voice say its time to rock and roll kid; this is when I knew it was my turn. We proceeded to picking out the size of the ring, and color of the bead I chose blue of course. Then we went into the little cubicle booth looking thing, I brought my friend back with me for support. He then got all the supplies ready, closed the blinds around the room to protect me from peeping toms I guess. Next he marked the entry and exit holes with one of those blue pens that seem to leave a mark for days after. Then he looked the marks over a few times and consulted with my friend and I. I agreed that it looked good, as did she. So I sat down in the big black comfy chair and got ready for the pain. I was starting to get a little more nervous so I asked him to hold off for a second, he said "sure" but he did not actually wait. And im glad that he did do it when I as ked him to stop, I probably would have chickened out if he did hold off for a few minutes. The piercing itself actually did no hurt all that much, although my friends hand would beg to differ. It actually hurt less than my industrial. Anyways, I looked down and got kind of frightened, that damn clamp had my nipple pulled out so far it was disgusting. The needle itself that was through my nipple was the LEAST of my concern. Next he put in the ring, I would say this was the more painful part. Then he put the bead on, put some paper towel over my nipple because it was going to bleed a little bit throughout the day he said. Then he told me about the appropriate after care and gave me a sheet on it. Then I paid him and talked for a few minutes, and then I was on my jolly old way. The rest of the day was a little uncomfortable because I was shopping and walking around and all that good jazz. But it did not bother me that much because for being a little uncomfortable I knew I had a lot to show. It was also kind of awkward to go to sleep, I was freaked out I'd roll over and it would be quite painful, but when I woke up I was laying on it and it did not hurt and it looked fine so it was all good. The next few days were fine it was not really bothering me at all.
Now it's been a little over 2 months since I got it done. It's healing quite nicely. I'm very glad I got it done and would not trade it for anything. It's something I have that not everyone has to know about, unless I choose to inform him or her. It's my little secret. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Now the next step in my body modification is my double nape, and my other nipple cause I feel a little uneven.
