Well I have been reading a lot of the posts here on the forum and I have spent the last 4 years seriously contemplating getting my nipple pierced.Let me first say that I have been very nervous about even thinking about getting pierced because the age thing. I'm 34 and society says mature adults don't take this kind of plunge, but truth be told I never really fit into societies norms. Well Back to my experience , me and my best friend were talking about possibly waiting to right around her birthday to get our piercings together. Me my nipples and her the navel. Well as I sat in my boring office all I could think of is how much I wanted to get the work done and see the crowning victory of the first thing I have done in my life for me and not for anybody else.

So at 5:00 I made a beeline to the studio I picked out. I mean I have good thins about this studio from here and other forums. Once inside my car, my cell phone rang and it was my best friend asking me to guess what she did today and sure enough it was her navel. Now with that knowledge I was determined to get my piercing.
I think I might have broke speed limit law in the state of Illinois getting to the studio. At 5:30 I walked into World Class and was greeted by one of their resident tattoo artist and was put to ease when he told me that their most experienced piercer would be handling my piercing. Well, I would be a liar if I didn't tell you that the the thought of chickening out didn't cross my mind, as he handed me the release forms and I realized I was actually going thru with it. Now 2 minutes later after the pleasantries of signing forms, I was escorted to the piercing room there I met Will. All I really remember at that point was the joke they were making about the fact if you get both nipples pierced at the same time, the last one hurts like a bitch. Will had me take off my shirt and undershirt(which was actually the longest part of the whole endeavor), he swabbed down my nipple with iodine, had me stand back up so he could make the marks so it would be straight. Then he clamped my nipple with the forceps, now thank god I have this affinity for pinching my own nips or else it would probably would have hurt like a mofo. He then told me to take a deep breath and not to move, all of sudden I felt a stinging pain, not unbearable mind you, but stinging nonetheless. After about another minute he had my CBR complete handed me the aftercare sheet, took my money for the piercing, and then sent me on my way. Now, what I have heard this was supposed be very painful of a piercing, but for me it was a most intringuing and sexual pain I have experienced. THe only bad thing was when it was over with I had to stand outside in the 35mph winds and that really aggravated the new piercing.
So for all of you, who are thinking about getting pierced I say go for it you only live once and you got to make the best of it. Now Im off to take a shower and wash my piercing and really looking forward to Friday when my chest becomes uniformed.Now I don't know about the rest of you, but now that I have had my first taste of piercing I am thinking about getting more work done above and even below the hood. Well as Io am writing this experience the pain is starting to creep up on me so I am typing very gingerly and I can't say this enough this is the most exhilarating I have felt in a long time and the best part of it is, I did it for me. So if you are over the tender age of 30 and you start to hear the naysayers tell you that your too old and mature adults would never do that, I want you to take that middle finger of yours flip them off and do I guarantee it will be the best decision you could ever make.
