For years I had wanted to get something done. When I was about sixteen or seventeen years old I had decided that my first modification was to be a set of nipple piercings. My strict parents would never have allowed me to do that, so I had to wait.

It was about a year ago. I was freshly eighteen years old. I had moved out of the house. I had just started college, and I was living far away from my parents. The time had come for me to FINALLY get the nipple piercings I had been longing for. Lucky for me, I was now living on a college campus. There were plenty of nearby tattoo and piercing parlors within my grasp. I decided to go ahead and go to the nearest one and talk to the piercer. He is a nice guy. I told him that I wanted my nipples pierced. He said that he would do it. I told him what I wanted. My nipples have always been zones of arousal for me, so I was looking forward to having these things in for my girlfriend to play with and all. I wanted something not too small and kind of deep, because they would be seeing some action for sure once they healed. He said the biggest thing he had was 14g, but he could order me something else. I wanted to start off bigger at maybe 12 or 10, but I was READY and decided I could s tretch later. Anyway, the standard stuff followed; gloves, jewelry, needles, poke followed by an exciting sensation, poke 2 - same thing, then I was done. I looked in the mirror and was pleased. I left a happier man. I was ready to continue my week.

When I got home, I noticed that my left piercing seemed to be a little bit deeper than the right one was. I also thought it was a little off center. I thought that maybe it was due to swelling, so I didn't worry too much about it. Throughout the week, I followed the standard cleaning rituals, and everything seemed to be coming along nicely. The swelling had gone down, and my left nipple didn't look any better, only worse. So, I went back to the shop and talked to Jason about it, and he told me to take it out, wait a week for my hole to completely heal up, then come back to see him and he would redo it for me. A week later I returned, and he fixed me up nice. When I first had the procedure done, the piercing sensation wasn't painful at all. I definitely felt it, but it wasn't painful. However, When I got my nipple re-pierced, it was a quite a bit more on the painful side. In fact, I might even venture to say that it fucking hurt pretty bad, and I'm one who can take his share of pain. I did alright though. It was a bit deeper, more like I had wanted it to be to begin with. In fact, this new piercing in my left nipple was noticeably deeper than the one in my right nipple. I should have said something, but I didn't. I decided that it probably looked like more of a difference because I had just got it done, and it was a little swollen. I thanked Jason and left.

A couple of weeks later, after swelling was obviously not the problem, I decided that the difference was too much for me to live with. I headed back to AAA to see Jason. I felt bad for not having said something earlier, but Jason was a sport and really nice about it. He told me the same thing. Take it out - wait a week - come back. I did, and everything went smooth. Anyway, after a couple of months of waiting, I was ready to go bigger, I knew I should have waited a little longer for my poor nipples to heal completely, but I am the King of Impatience, so I went ahead and tried it anyway. I went out and bought myself some 12g jewelry, and took it home. I was able to shimmy the jewelry through my right nipple without much harm done, a little pain, and a very small amount of blood. My left nipple was a different story. I worked that son of a bitch pretty hard, and after assloads of pain and a stream of blood trickling down my chest, I was done. It was the healing process all o ver again. They got a little infected after that, and I was pissed at myself for being such a dumb ass. Fortunately, I was able to get through it and everything is healed up fine now - a year later. Please, anyone reading this and contemplating any modification of your own, MAKE SURE YOU MAKE CLEAR WHAT YOU WANT DONE, AND DON'T BE AN IMPATIENT OR INDECISIVE ASS.
