I always have liked the look of these piercings, but I thought that if I would do it, it would be far later, around my thirties (don't know why, but it was fixed in my mind like this !). But one day I woke up with the idea that it was the good time to make that present to my breasts... and the next day it was still the same ! I didn't know any woman who got her nipples pierced, only men, so I started collecting information about female nipple piercings on different websites, in which www.perforations.com for the technique, the healing process and the problems commonly met, and of course BME for all the experiences (I don't know how many I have read !) and the pics... This for me was very useful, as I'm not the kind that rushes into things without knowing where I go ! After all that reading, the idea left was that it had great chances to be painful on the moment, and that the healing process would be difficult and long... great program ! So I asked myself if I was ready for this ch allenge, and it appeared that yes, I was ! So I sent an e-mail to a piercing studio situated in Nantes, near where I live, called Atlantic tattoo, (www.atlantic-tattoo-piercing.com) to know the prices, also ask several questions about the technique employed and how to get an appointment. The piercer answered that I should come to the studio to get the appointment, it was ok for me because both prices and the answers to my questions suited me.

I was a little deceived it would be so long but now I realize that it was a good thing because I had the time to know if I really wanted it... and in that way to appreciate them even more ! she gave me a paper about the measures taken in the studio about hygiene and also told me that my appointment would be in two parts : first I would have some desensitizing cream applied on my nipples and after 45 minutes I would have to come back for the piercing...
During these 3 weeks I prepared my body to receive these new residents by reducing my smoking and having a reasonable way of living as much as possible ( a little sport, drinking alcohol as less as possible, eating well and so on) and even started taking zinc complements several days before the final day...
I didn't sleep much that night, and was a little anxious when I got up. I went shopping and eating as my appointment was at 3pm. Finally when I got to the studio I was far less nervous, and really glad not having given up my idea ! And well, in less than two hours it would be done... So I came in, and I met the piercer, Bruno, who took me to the piercing room (little, but very clear and clean), and we started talking, that made me feel even more relaxed. He explained me what he was about to do, I took off my shirt and bra and he cleaned my nipples, took measures and marked the points where my future piercing would seat. Then he applied a great amount of desensitizing cream, and stuck pieces of gauze on my tits before I put on my bra. I went out of the piercing room and decided to have a tea during the time the cream began to act. I had a light weird sensation in my nipples during that time, and was already dreaming that I would be feeling very little pain ! I came back to the studio, still relaxed, Bruno explained me what was to follow while taking the gauze and cleaning the cream, made me lay down on the chair and started taking out the tools and the jewellery, all in sterile packaging. As I felt the critical moment approaching, I was less and less talkative... so I closed my eyes and tried to relax as much as possible. The piercer put the clamps on my right nipple, used some cold spray on it and then I felt the needle going through my nipple... I found the time long ! I didn't feel on the surface but in the middle, as nor could the cream or the spray reach that deep part of the nipple, as I've not small ones. When I saw that the first ring was in I was very happy to have one done, but wanted the other nipple to be pierced quickly as I knew it would hurt ! But it happened that the second piercing was not like I expected it, still a little painful, but quicker... here I was, very impatient to be told to stand up and have a look in the mirror, while B runo was cleaning the small amount of blood. I felt so good ! And of c ourse telling myself that it could have been far worse. Then I saw the result, and wow ! I was impressed. It was really nice, and the rings that appeared to me very big first when I saw them in their package perfectly suited my nipples ! I had them covered with gauze and put back my clothes, and then the piercer explained me the aftercare and gave me a sheet that summed it up. I paid and had two sweets as a reward, and went out awfully glad and relieved that everything went well. It was not painful at all after, but I paid attention not to give them any shock. I bought the products I needed and went back home.
In the evening I've done my first cleaning. I went to the bathroom with all the products I needed, cleaned my hands, I took off the gauze, and realized that there was very little blood on it. Then I cleaned all the products containers and also the tap, put some hot water in a mug, opened the Qtip box and cleaned again my hands. I used an antiseptic spray on my nipples and soaked a Qtip in hot water then had some spray on it, and cleaned the holes using several Qtips, trying not to make the ring move. I repeated the same things for the second nipple, and then applied some dots of a cream that prevents from infections around the four holes. I stayed naked for the rest of the evening, stuck a gauze on my breasts and a bra to go to sleep. But staying on the back is very hard when you're not used to sleep in that position ! the morning after, I had another cleaning, but that time I made the ring move. The nipples were a bit swollen, but they didn't hurt much. I tried to avoid big physical activities as much as possible(including sex with a partner !) took zinc tablets, full cleaning twice a day, sea salt bath once a day, no boozing, no drugs, smoking as less as possible. After two weeks, my nipples where firmer, but very crusty. I kept cleaning with sea salt water once a day only, and stopped using the cream. During several months they get less and less crusty, and 5 months later, they were totally normal !
Now it's been nearly one year I have them, I changed my rings for barbells two months ago, I find them more comfortable and discreet for everyday life (I live with my parents and I'm sure they wouldn't be pleased to know I have nipple piercings !), but sometimes put the rings back. For sexual considerations, in my case the sensations didn't increased a lot, maybe because they already were quite sensitive. I was nicely surprised when I saw the effect of my piercings on guys anyway !
If you're interested in getting your nipples pierced, be aware that it will be quite long to heal, but the result is really really nice. I've done them just before winter, maybe it's not the best time of the year to do that, as you can't spend your time naked ! if possible take your time to think about it (you're on the good way if your checking this website), choose a good studio, relax as much as possible (even if it hurts, that won't last more than 15 seconds, so it's no use thinking about it night and day !) and give a lot of attention to the aftercare, do it in a very clean area. ALWAYS clean your ends before touching your piercings, and don't scratch the crusty bits, wet them and they will detach themselves more easily. Use a very few sea salt in the water as too much wouldn't do any good.
It may sound you a bit difficult to get your nipples pierced, but believe me : it's really great to have jewellery there ! If it had been that awful I wouldn't have continued, but after that I decided to get my clit hood pierced !
