Hi all , to start out with this is something that I have wanted to do for a very long time (about 4 years). I have been going to BME for about two years now and have been very intriged with nipple piercing so I decided to take the next step, just think at 61 but it is never to late to do something that you want to do. I had talked to a few piercers and decided on Belly Up because it is close to where I live and have heard good things about the shop. I had been in the shop with my wife because she was looking at getting her tongue pierced. Our daughters have been trying to get her to get this done for some time. I went in to get her a gift certificate for her pierce and to find out there was a discount for a buddy's pierce so I thought THIS IS THE TIME for the NIPS bingo the time was right. The gift certificate was for my wife for mothers day. I had taken her over to the shop three times to get the procedure done but she would chicken out.

The shop was clean and everyone was very helpful when I had asked questions. There are pictures all over the walls of the hundreds and hundreds of people that have been pierced there. I looked at one picture and there was a man that looked older then me that had both his nips pierced so why not.

I had decided that I in time wanted to be at 8ga. but in talking to the owner he told me that the biggest he does is 12ga. I initialy told him that I wanted to be pierced at 10ga. but he said that he would have to taper up to 10ga. after a 12ga. pierce. I told him lets just taper up to an 8ga. while we are at it and he said that he could do that. He started with the left nipple by cleaning it and then placing a topical numbing on it and then just asked if I was ready and I said yes go for it and he did the pierce. He then used an 8ga. taper to go up from the 12ga. pierce, and then inserted the 8ga. CBR. This didn't hurt at all because of the topical numbing. Then he inserted the first 8ga. CBR. One down one to go. Then he started on the right nipple and repeated the process with the cleaning, numbing, and then asking if I was ready and then doing the pierce followed with the 8ga. taper and inserting the 8ga. CBR. There wasn't any blood at all and the healing has gone very we ll over the first month.

My wife was very suprised at what I had done. I had been telling her for about three months that I was going to get my NIPS pierced and I don't think she believed me that I was realy going to get it done, boy did I fool her. I am very happy with the results and the sensitivity has increased very much over my stock nips. I like the 8ga. instead of the little 12ga. or 14 ga. because they look more beefy and I can feel them and they will show better. I highly recommend that everybody has both there NIPS pierced instead of just one. One just seems to be off balance and you will walk sideways.
One tip that I may pass on is if you are scared of the pain of the pierce use Maximum Strength ANBESOL for tooth problems and that will take the pain of the pierce away. Again don't be scared just do it, you WILL LIKE IT. Remember to keep them clean and don't allow playing until later. I have purchased two 8ga. CBB to change to when they are healed and I can change the CBR's out. After the procedure was completed there were some people out front and the piercer had to tell them what we had done and that I just had my nipples pierced to 8ga. THere wwas a gal out front that heard that and she just grabbed her nipples and said I had more ball's then she did as she stood there rubbing her nipples and asking if it hurt. She said that she had piercings but wouldn't her her nips done for fear they would hurt to much. Everyone has there own reason for getting a piercing but for me I started with a piercing gun on my left ear and now I have tapered it up to a 6ga. on my own. I go bac k and forth from an 8ga. to a 6ga. but mostly the 6ga. I may in time even to up to a 6ga. on my nips but time will tell. I have the taper and the CBR's in 6ga. The piercer has his nips at 8ga. but he said that he started at 16ga. and then went up from there slowly.
