This is an account of the scariest piercing experience I have ever had! I didn't actually go out intending to get my nipple pierced it just kind of happened! My mother wasn't too happy about me getting it done, she thought that it would be pushing it a bit...Anyway, we were going out to Birmingham for the day as it was my birthday (yay!) and especially to the fantastic shop Oasis. Walking around I saw that nipple piercings were only £17 with a ring AND you only had to be 16 to consent! I queued up, signed a form, (writing down my birthday instead of the date I was so nervous!) paid my money and sat down on a chair by the counter.

I was so scared! I started talking to a girl who was going to get her tongue done and trying to reassure her that it was not that bad as I had gotten mine done about a year ago. I have to say it was the longest 20 minutes I have ever gone through and when they called me I was almost relieved I would not have to wait anymore! I was literally shaking! I had heard the week before that nipple was supposed to be the most painful piercing... my friend Row had got hers done the week before and said that it really hurt.
The bloke that was piercing me (I cant remember his name) called me in to a small room with a shutter blocking the view of the public and me. I took my t-shirt off and lifted up my other tops. It did not actually feel wired to do even though I did not know the guy! He put some gloves on, took a pen, asked me which nipple I wanted pierced and then marked it each side with two dots. He told me to sit on the couch/chair thing and then left the room to go and get a slightly smaller ring. He went out and returned about 30 seconds later with a smaller ring. I was trying to breathe really deeply and stuff to calm my nerves down but it was not really working! I was a good job that I don't mind going in and getting piercings done on my own, as I know neither my mother nor sister would have gone in with me!
He walked around to the right side of me and took some freeze spray stuff and sprayed it onto my nipple. It was so cold it stung! For the actual piercing I placed my right hand behind my back and held my necklace out of the way with the other hand. I was too scared to watch so I just looked at the ceiling! I heard him say "You will just feel a small pinch..." and all I felt was a really small sharp pain and then that was it. It was so small I did not think he had actually done the piercing, I thought that maybe he had put a clamp on it or something! Then he said "And that's the piercing done..." I was so shocked! I had been preparing for major pain! He put the ring through and I looked down as he was putting the ball onto the ring. It was then that I started shaking but I pulled my tops down and thanked him and walked out! As I was walking out it started to really hurt but I just sat down and tried to breathe! My mother was there and she thought I had not gone through with it I was out that soon!
I sat down for about 5 minutes talking to girl I had been before and drinking water as I was still kind of in shock that I had actually just had my nipple pierced, I think that they were shocked too! I had wanted it done for about 3 months and suddenly there it was! My grandparents don't know and neither does my dad, as they would all kill me! A week on it still bleeds occasionally when I clean it but it is not all that bad. It does not really hurt at all anymore. It was definitely worth getting done and was probably my second most painful piercing... I would go through it again though, I think that saying it is the most painful piercing is an over exaggeration. I had to be carefully of hugging people for about 24hours but after that it was fine. It is amazing the amount of people who come out with "Well can I see it then?!" after you tell them you have it done! Only my closest friends have seen it! I am tempted to get the other pierced but I'm not sure yet... you never know!
