I love body piercing, but I had not done anything too extreme, but I had been wanting to get a new piercing for a while. I have multiple ear piercings already and a hand web that I did myself (I do not recommend doing it yourself), but I needed something "new". I wanted something different but not too drastic or irreversible. After talking with a few friends about it and reading up on procedures, I decided on my nipples, because my parents are averse to body piercing and nipples are easy to hide. I was so thrilled, I was going to get my nipples pierced!

My girlfriend was out of town for two days, so I decided to surprise her with my new addition. I went to The Asylum (the local place that does quality piercings and tattoos) with two friends of mine and talked about what I wanted done. Joey talked to me for a while to make sure this was what I wanted. Then he filled out the paperwork and I signed the form.

He took us into a small side room and locked the dead bolt on the door. Until now I thought his mom was going to do the piercing. She usually did them and I was a bit nervous about him doing it. I quickly got over it though with the thought that "they are just boobs and he's done this before". He got out all the equipment and put on gloves. I asked various questions while he was getting ready, like what gauge the piercing was, if his hurt when he got them and how many piercings he had done. He assured me all would go well, that he was well trained, and I would just feel a little poke and that it would be over quickly.

Finally we were ready to get on with the piercing. He asked me to take off my shirt and bra, and there I sat, half naked with two very nervous friends. They were more scared than I was. Joey cleaned the area very carefully, marked my nipple, had me make sure I liked the placing, and told me to lie back. He then put the clamps on. I had been told and read that the clamps hurt worse than the needle. It is not true. Either that or he put the clamps on very gently. By now both of my friends were in a panic and squeezing my hand harder than I was squeezing theirs.

Joey put ointment on the needle, told me to take a deep breath and to be ready for a little prick. He gently slid the needle through (at this point both my friends screamed like little school girls and cringed) and went to get the ring. My friends said I was nuts, but I could tell they were as excited as I was about it. I looked at the needle, it was through my nipple! I could see a little blood coming out but I was not worried. Joey came back with the ring and slid it through the needle and into my new hole. Then he took pliers and closed the ring on the ball. I asked whether I should wear a bra or not and he said yes because it gives extra padding. He said he wished he could have worn one when he got his nipples done.

I finally had my nipple pierced! The whole process took about twenty minutes. I quickly got dressed and got all the after care products and left the store very happy and full of adrenalin, ready to sing for joy almost. I have noticed that it is more sensitive to anything, even riding in the car is great. I love to wear tight shirts out in public to show off my new ring. I've shown all my friends too. Most of them call me crazy and ask how I could have done that. My girlfriend loves the piercing but is sad cause she can not play with it yet. I've shown both of my sisters and they joked about how I will be able to breastfeed two babies on one nipple.

Today I am going back to get the other one done and my girlfriend is going to be there for this one, "To make sure I am ok" she says. My nipple has not bled too much and is not very sore at all. It is doing very well healing I plan to stretch it to about a ten or twelve gauge in about a month when it is fully healed (I have been told that larger gauges produce more sensitivity, so I may go bigger than that even). I want to put some nipple shields on them. I highly recommend this piercing to anybody who wants to have a little fun with body piercing.
