To start off I'll Tell you a little about myself: I'm a 20 year old female in Brisbane. I've always been interested in body modification since I can remember especially tattoos [of which I have one- but will add that experience another time]. As for piercing go: I have your standard four lobe piercing [the ones you get when you're like three years old]. Had a self done eyebrow ring as well as two belly button piercing but I've taken them out. Adding to my lovely list: a new nipple piercing of which I love!

How I got it was actually pretty cool- I have a very close mate who's name is Greg, he also has a nipple piercing of which on his very buffed body looks awesome. Despite that detail I can remember way back when I was in grade 9 wanting to get my nipple pierced. I don't know why but I had always wanted it- I thought it looked ultra sexy, would feel great and was defitionally for me. The only thing about that is, I would never dare tell anyone [not even my close friends] as it was like a 'taboo issue'. So after contemplating my piercing I thought it would be best for me to get it done when 'the time feels right'. Well that time came six years later.

So Here I am six years later and I start getting 'that feeling' like something's missing. I was talking to my close buddy Greg [of whom were now 'more that best buds], and our conversation rolled around to tattoo's and piercing. He was telling me about his nipple bar that he has. When he was telling me about his, I started to realise what that 'missing thing' was... My nipple piercing that I wanted since grade 9. I asked Greg what he thought about it and he said "Go for it if that's what you want, nobody's stopping you except yourself". So the next day I was at work and I thought "that's it, today's the day!" As fate has it there is a very respectable, very clean and very tidy piercing shop just a three-minute walk from work. I asked my boss if I would have my lunch break early and he said sure. So I drove to the bank [five minutes away] got out one hundred dollars [just to be safe], and drove back to the piercing shop.

I walked into the shop to be met by the piercer himself of which was a real gentleman. We discussed the price, what was to be pierced and what piece of jewellery I would like to be put in place. I told him I wanted my right nipple pierced, and I wanted a plain silver barbell to be placed. With that he said sixty dollars is that ok? I said, "sure that's fine lets do this". We then went into the "doctors room" as I call it [well it looks exactly like a sterile hospital operation room] and he started to gather his materials required for the piercing. As I was a little nervous I asked him how much it hurt, he said pain is a very personal thing and it varies from each person. As I was taking my shirt and bra off, we chatted about how work was going etc [the general chat] and asked me if I was ok if he placed the markings so he could pierce it correctly. I said that's fine, he placed the "dots" with the disposable pen and asked me to stand up so it wouldn't be crooked and check it out in the mirror, to see if I like where it was going to go. I liked it and said, "Perfect". I lied down on the table while he was showing me how everything was all sterile in 'once used throw away' disposable tools. He wiped the area with an antiseptic to sterilise the nipple. I warned him "my mum told me that ladies aren't meant to swear, but if I do I'm sorry"; He laughed and said that I've got a great sense of humour. He said "Are you ready?" I just replied "Sure, Just Do it". With that he already pierced it, placed the jewellery and said "Finished, Have a look". With that I got up and checked it out in the mirror- WOW! Looked awesome. I said thanks and put my bra and shirt on.

We went outside to the register and settled the $60.00 for the piercing and jewellery included. He recommended that I use salt water for the aftercare and with that I said thanks and went back to work. If your thinking about getting a nipple pierced then I'd recommend it. It feels great and looks awesome. I hope that you can take something away from my experience, thanks for reading!
