After thinking about it for sometime and finally getting the courage to do it I decided I was going to get both my nipples pierced at an 8g. My sister's boyfriend, Dan, is an awesome piercer so who other than him would do it?

I was never really nervous about getting my nipples pierced, I was always more nervous about having to take my shirt off in front of my sister's boyfriend, but I finally did it. We decided that the best thing to do for the piercing would be to pierce it with a 9g needle then taper it up to an 8g. It seemed like a lot to do but Dan convinced me that it was the best way to go, and would probably show the best results.

I stood up straight so Dan could mark me up and make sure that everything would be even. I then hopped up onto the piercing table/bed then laid down. I was somewhat nervous at this point, but that didn't stop me I was going to do it anyways. The first nipple that we did was the left. He put the clamps on and this sort of hurt, actually it was just more uncomfortable. He told me to take a deep breath and he counted 1, 2, 3 then the needle went through and it hurt quite a bit. I was even kicking my feet a bit, thinking that it was over, and all that had to be done was inserting the jewellery, but it wasn't I still had to do the taper. The bad part was that you go through all this pain and its not over, you still have to do the taper. He put the taper in so it was snug and told me he was going to push it through slowly, this part hurt a lot too. It was sort of a burning and pressure sensation. After that the jewellery was inserted no problem or more pain and that was the end of the left nipple.

After the first nipple was done I jumped off the table to look at it in the mirror and found that, that was a big mistake, I wasn't used to having it there and it hurt so much. Jumping off the table made it bounce up a bit and cause a lot of pain. I kept thinking in my mind that its not over yet, you still have one more nipple to go. I was finally ready a few minutes later it was the exact same procedure, clamps, needle, taper then jewellery. Again, Dan told me to take a deep breath 1, 2, 3 and the needle was pushed through. I found that this time the needle hurt a lot more than the first nipple, when the taper went through I was overcome by a shooting pain right through my wrist, it was the strangest feeling. I also found that this didn't hurt as much as the right nipple, but it was still pretty painful either way.

When I got up this time I was a little more careful. Having the jewellery there was weird but I admired them, they looked so pretty! The weight of them I wasn't used to yet, but I loved them so much. The thought of putting a bra on just seemed kind of painful, my nipples were very sensitive and swollen so for the next few days I just wore tight shirts underneath my regular shirts.

For my aftercare, I did sea salt soaks. I soaked each nipple for about 5-10 minutes each 2 times a day. In the first few days there was some swelling, I found that my left nipple bleed a lot. When I woke up the next morning, my shirt was stained with blood. It bleed like this for about 3 days, usually only when after sleeping. Then finally I went to Dan because I was nervous, I wasn't sure if it was normal to bleed so much afterwards, he told me I'd be fine and put some no bleed stuff on it. That stung pretty bad but helped with the bleeding. I normally sleep on my stomach so I'm guessing that could have been the reason why I bleed so much. During the healing process my nipples got a little crusty but not overly, just every once and a while when I'd go to clean them I'd notice it a bit and I'd wipe it off with a q-tip or something.. At night I would put some tissue on my nipples then tape them down. I found that taping them down helped a lot for when walking or bending dow n but the sticky part of the tape really made the skin on the side of my nipple dry and itchy. But in about two weeks my nipples were still doing really well. The crustiness on them were very minimal and they didn't hurt at all.
