I had a vertical hood done while on vacation in Florida. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to get my nipple done too. And the story goes:

I am toasted! My mother in law is in town, the kids are sleeping, my husband has to work the next morning early, so I ask my neighbor (who is sober at this point) where she is taking me to party. We go to a club here and start drinking more. She had been itching to get her belly button pierced since I had my hood pierced. She was with me in Florida when I did my hood. She was supposed to be there to hold my hand and catch me if I fainted, but guess what?! She was down looking at my pussy while I was being pierced! What a friend huh?! Anyway, she looks at me and said, "Do you still want to go get your nipple done?" I said, "Of course". So, off we go to the local piercing shop.
We walk in and tell Jason what we want. He is very nice. He chooses the jewlery and asks who is going first. I go first because I didn't want to watch my friend get it done. So I hop up on the table, take of my shirt and bra and offer him my big nipple to pierce. He asked me why I prefered the right one and I said it's because it's the one my husband seems to suck on the most. So, he marks me and tells me to lay down. I am completely intoxicated and the room was spinning. But I was completely giggly and excited! My husband did not know I was doing this (he knew I WANTED to but wanted to be there since he wasn't there when I did my hood) so I was completely turned on because I was going to go home and wake him up from his deep sleep and plop my pierced tit in his hand.
Now here comes the piercing. He put the clamps on and I must say, OUCH! They hurt. I have big nipples and those suckers hurt! It hurt worse than the needle. Matter of fact, I didn't feel the needle b/c the clamps were hurting so much. I have breastfed two children and they never clamped down as hard as those clamps. But, I was drunk, turned on with excitement of surprising my husband once again with a piercing, and it went very quick. He said he was done and I said I didn't even feel the needle but he better take those damn clamps off fast! So he did and I was done!
It is a little harder to take care of the nipple piercing than it was for the hood. I didn't have to do anything for the hood except watch for perfumed soaps. The urine took care of healing my hood. But the nipple was different. I had to soak in sea salt three times per day and wash once per day with antibacterial soap. It never crusted over like some piercings do. I know my belly button crusted horribly, but neither my hood or nipple did. I have to say though, don't sleep nude when you get this done for a while. I caught that sucker on a blanket and when I turned over I just about ripped my nipple off! OUCH! I was sore and couldn't have anything rub on it for a while. Wearing my robe or shirt without a bra irritated it. You can't wear anything too tight. I wore a good supporting sports bra to exercise in one day and my nipple hurt for a good while when I took it off. You MUST take care of this piercing well. My friend didn't and his had green junk coming out of it. It was very infected and he had to remove it and take antibiotics. But he's a wimp because he puked when he had his pierced. It wasn't that bad! But I have had two children, so I guess a needle through my nipple would not be as bad as that! By the way, I don't have the belly button piercing anymore because I had to take it out when I got pregnant.
It is so exciting to see my husband play with my nipple ring. He loves it as well as my hood piercing. I am not a piercing freak and I didn't do it because piercing is the thing to do. I did it for the boost during sex. I never had a problem before, but I wanted to do something different. My husband gets so excited when he sees them and always wants to touch them. He thinks I did it for him, but I did it for me! Silly man!
