My husband is a physician and he has wanted body piercings on me since we met. I've been married to him for fiftten years now. I never gave body piercings much of a thought. Five years ago my husband pierced both my nipples at 10 guage with anesthetic. The swelling from the anesthetic made it very difficult for him to line up the piercings, but he did a wonderful job. The healing time took about a year. I got the normal crusties with swelling and redness. It seemed like I was banging my nipples on everything. There was minimal pain during the healing process and I slowly ajusted to them.

My breasts are small by nature, but I have very large nipples to begin with. It seems like small nipples with rings in them start behaving like magnets to everything. The rings seemed to create a lot more sensitivity than I've ever had. The experiences we read up on the BME site has helped both of us tremendously. It reminds us in that we're not alone. My nipples remained at 10 guage for three years. And during this time, everything was fine. No infection occured. Im a very conservative person and my job would not allow me to have visible piercings. I never thought I'd submit to any piercings let alone my nipples, but I've enjoyed thme. The ring size were at one inch diameter at 10 guage. I never thought I'd have any more piercings and stretching never entered my mind. I never thought about stretching, but my husband finally convinced me that there would be minimal pain and I fainlly consented to having larger guage nipples.
About two years, my husband numbed both my nipples with anesthetic again. The initail shot was very painful, but after that, I didn't feel a thing. A taper was used and my nipples were stretched from 10 guage to 6 guage. Because anesthetic was used, it was possible to move up to 6 guage with minimal problems. It's a faster process, but there's a better chance of tearing. My husband was careful to avoid tearing of the nipples by moving the tapers in very slow. There was no pain because the nipples were numb. The numbness lasts about an hour. Once the numbness wears off, the pain starts rising. It's tolerable, but not pleasant. There was minimal bleeding and the heavier rings were actually more comfortable.The larger guage rings also seemed to be less sensitive. It could be the weight and it could be the larger guage. It's probably a combination of the two. The healing took about a year after this stretch to 6 guage. I experienced the same healing process as I did with the initial piercing. It was like having my nipples pierced all over again. I suppose if I stretched my nipples the conventional way, the process would be slower and less painful. The rings at 6 guage were also one inch in diameter. I favor the circular barbells because I like the look of the balls. Again, I thought this was the end of my piercing saga, but I was wrong.
About 6 months ago, my husband wanted my nipples stretched again. I thought he would move up to 4 guage and I told him I did not favor pain. He understood and told me he was going to be as gentle as he could. After several weeks deliberating the idea, I consented to having my nipples stretched again. He used anesthetic again. Each time he stretched my nipples, I never had the guts to look. I trusted him with everything. As long as I didn't feel anything, I was pretty happy. The shot hurt like it always does. The nipples swell and then I feel nothing. The stretch went from 6 guage to O guage this time. I was in shock, litereally. He used knitting needles as a taper this time and the process of piercing was fine without any complications. I bleed a lot more than before, but I really didn't feel a thing while he went throught the process of stretching. I guess he's getting more experience with each stretch and I've become more tolerant.
The pain from the shots are as painful as the previous ones. I don't think anyone will ever get use to getting shots. I don't recommend stretching any piercings this way. It's quite painful once the numbness wears off. However, the process to getting larger gauge piercings is faster and the process during the stretch is painless. There's pressure but no pain.
I love my husband and I'm willing to submit myself for his desires. The piercings have added spice to our lives. Piercings are very sexual. Love has very little to do with piercings. But for us, it's all tangled together. The size of the circular barbells are at one inch.
The stretch this time to O guage was more painful afterwards. I think the stretch caused my body to go into shock. My husband diagnosed it as mild form of shock. WIth the previous stretchings, I had felt fine afterwards. This time, I vomited and had a tremendous headache. It all went away after one day but I felt really sick for that one day.
The nipples are healed up now and the crusties are a thing of the past. The heavieer rings sure make the nipples stretch out more. I like the feel and my husband loves the look. For Christmas, he ordered me 2 inch diameter rings. He's talked of stretching them further, but we're waiting a bit longer. And this time, we are going to take it slower and one step at a time. The shock to the body is not worth it. The purpose of the larger diameter rings is so that more weight can be placed on the nipples. We're hoping to strtch without anesthetic this time around. If we can do that, I'm one very happy person. From what I've read, a lot of people do it this way.
