It has been a while since I got pierced. I have the bug, admittedly, but so far I've been pretty restrained and haven't got anything I regret. In fact, I've only got 2 piercings, and a third is on the cards, but all in good time.

Anyway, the point of this is the story of my nipple stretching. Not too much of a story really, but whilst I was researching this particular process, I was very grateful for any stories on nipple stretching, so I thought that if I could help a few people it would be worth it.

So from the start, I'm 18, at uni, and currently on holiday. I had my left nipple pierced last year in September. It was pierced with a 14 gauge (1.6mm) surgical stainless steel ball closure ring. It was at a stage where I thought it was healed and I changed to an anodised titanium BCR which I had bought from a reputable shop. As it turns out, it wasn't properly healed yet, but the jewellery change went OK, although it took me a while to get the ball in.

So it has been properly healed for a couple of months now and I was ready to stretch. I knew that I would do it back in my home town (I go to university in another city) and so I waited till now.

My original feeling was to stretch to a 12 gauge BCR, and so after shopping in town, I went to my piercing shop Absolution (I would never go anywhere else) and told them I wanted to stretch. We talked about sizes, and I asked if a stretch straight to a 10 gauge would be too much. He said that depended on how much pain I could take. I said I'd stick to the 12, and I went to get out more money (it was a little dearer than I expected, but still comparatively cheap). While I was getting money, I decided that pain was temporary and that I would stretch straight to a 10. I trust David (my piercer), and if he says that it's not too big a stretch then I believe him. So back I came to Absolution and behind the curtain I went!

He gloved up, lubed me up with Vaseline, popped the ball and eased the old ring out. So I'm lying there with a hole in my nip. Next comes the lubed taper. He pushed it in, and, of course, the thin end felt fine. As he got further up, it hurt more and more, but never to the intensity of the original piercing.

He got almost to the top, then prepared the new BCR. Out came the ball, and then he shoved the taper through all the way followed by the new ring. That part was the most painful of the lot. I feel pain, but my tolerance is high, in that it takes a lot for me to react. I didn't react, and David was actually quite surprised. So in went the ball and he centred the ring.

I walked out of there and it was throbbing quite a bit. For the next half hour or so, it wasn't too happy, but I don't think I would be if I had been stretched 150% either.

I checked it out in the car about half an hour later, when I was feeling a little more comfortable. It was very red for an area around my nipple, a diameter of about 10 centimetres. So it looked like I had a huge areola. It calmed down more and more on the way home, and for the rest of the day. I gave it a hot salt soak a couple of hours later and wiped some of the Vaseline away. It's a very tight fit, I couldn't move the ring much at all, but as I say, that's to be expected. Now (about 10 hours after it was stretched) it's feeling fine. I'm going to be careful of it for a few weeks while it adjusts, but after that it's back to normal. I love the feel of the new jewellery and the new gauge. It just FEELS better. I've heard of a few people that have stretched their nipples, and just found that it felt better, and I agree.

Sensitivity is low at the moment, but I'll give that time, when I first got it pierced it wasn't sensitive the first night. I like the weight of the new jewellery especially. Before I had it stretched, I occasionally hung a lock on the bottom of the ring for added weight, and it felt good. But being such a small gauge, it was uncomfortable. Now I've got comfort and weight.

So happy stretching all, I hope this has been useful for someone.
