So we went and it was a few days after by birthday and my sister decides that I need to get something pierced. It never really occurred to me before, just because piercings weren't something I thought about much. My sister says I should just get my bellybutton pierced so that my mom or anybody wouldn't freak out, so I got it done. No problem.
5 Months later I got kind of bored with only one, and a fairly common one it is. When i got the initial piercing it was wonderful, the initial pain was nothing and i thought it felt pretty good, so during those few months I kept craving more. Finally in December i decided to get my inverse navel done too. I did it one day at the same place I did my first one, and that one made my mom a little mad, just because I didn't tell her.
For a good long time what I've REALLY wanted was a nice little ring in the center of my lip, but my job prevents me from being able to get it done, so I've had to abandon the idea of visual piercings and go for anything i can hide.
Then in February I decided I wanted my tongue pierced. That went over well too, it didn't hurt, and this time my mom came with me, even though she couldn't stand the thought of a big needle going through my tongue. She still cringes when i stick my tongue out. This was so far my favorite piercing, and I've had quite a bit of fun with it too!
After getting my tongue pierced I thought it was coming to an end...what else could I do? I'm only 16, and my job won't permit piercings that are visible, so I was a bit stuck.
Then I got a big new idea. I wanted my nipples pierced. It was a really random decision that I'm glad I made! So one day at school I was talking to my friend, who has her nipples pierced, and we decided that after school we were gonna go get mine done too. Once again I took a trip out to Berkeley, but this time went to Gottsi, and studio that I didn't know of before, but is a lot better than the place I got my other 3 piercings actually.
I walked into the shop, which I immediately loved. There was a really pretty waterfall thing in the corner and pictures of tribal piercings from all over the world, the place was beautiful. A guy walked out from the back (the first thing I noticed was his hair. he had really nice dreadlocks) and it was William, the pierce. My friend I was with knew him, since she got hers done there, so we quickly became friends and I was on my way to having my nipples pierced.
We waited awhile, I picked out the jewelry, we talked, he finished up another person he was with, and we went into the room in the back. I wasn't at all uncomfortable with having to stand around topless in front of a bunch of people (I was with a few friends, and of course, William) and so he cleaned off my nipples and made the marks. He wasn't pleased with one of them so he re-did it, and had me check the marks. They were perfect, and I was soooooo excited.
William let me decide if I wanted to sit down or lay down, and I immediately decided to lie down, since it was more relaxing. So I laid down on the dentist-like chair thing and we just talked for awhile, I think he was trying to calm me down, even though I wasn't really very worked up.
After breathing and stuff I decided let's do it. The first one to go was rightie, just in case I chickened out on the second one (which I was NOT about to do. I didn't want lopsided pirate nipples...) So I laid back and William told me how to breathe and all that good stuff...and he asked me if I was ready...and I sure as hell was...and that sure did hurt. None of my other piercings even made me flinch, but this one made me pretty squeamish...I dealt well, just winced a little.
Next came the left one. William asked me if I wanted to wait a little bit but no way was I about to, I wanted both and I wanted them now! Over to my left side he goes, and we do basically the same thing as the right one, and it hurt just as much.
Afterwards there was really no pain, and they're not really sore. It's only been about 3 or 4 days, and I love them.
In the past 9 months i've gotten all my mods (except just ears) and I love them all, 13 total. Everybody wants to see my new ones, and its pretty funny what some people will do just to see some pierced nipples.
There haven't really been much along the lines of crusties or blood, and i've been doing sea salt soaks and cleaning with dial antibacterial and all that good stuff, and I started some sort of horrible trend too. Just yesterday my ex boyfriend went and got his done too (that made me kinda mad...he's so mean to me!)
If your thinking about getting your nipples pierced, do it, cause they're great. I've already had a good amount of fun with them!
