Hi everyone. I'm a 19 year old college student originally from North Dakota but now in Chicago. Currently I have 7 piercings, my nipples are done twice, tongue, navel, hood, and I guess my ears too. The most recent was my hood piercing which was the easiest piercing I've had done. To anyone who wants it done go for it. Just make sure the piercer knows what he/she is doing. Anyway...

My first nipple percing was a horizontal with a CBR as jewelry. I had this done at Derma Design also but by a different piercer (Heather). I had this done approximately 9 months prior to getting my second set. My second piercings were vertical with curved barbells as the jewelry.
Why did I decide to get the second nipple piercing? I liked the look of it and I thought they would add to my "personality" so-to-speak. I ended up choosing curved barbells as jewelry for my piercings although I don't know if that was the best choice. I haven't had any problems however I'm curious about how the curve has changed the piercing...anyway, onto the story.
After many months of pondering whether to get the piercing before I left for college or after a life-altering experience sealed the deal. My grandfather unexpectedly died and so that pushed me over the edge. All of my previous piercings and tattoos are a direct result of a moment in time that I want to preserve. My grandfather had lived in Bismarck so when we went down for the funeral I decided to get pierced afterwards. I called Derma Design and they had an opening that afternoon so I was in. I asked who my piercer would be and was told it was Ashley. I was fine with that because she had pierced my navel a few weeks earlier. (What I didn't know was she is only 17 and had just began piercing on her own 2 months before.) That initially made me nervous but she was cool and cute so I got over it.
Once I got my jewelry picked out after a lengthy discussion about curved or straight barbells I headed back to get pierced. Once in the little room I took off my shirt (I'm totally NOT a shy person) and sat down in the chair. Ashley cleaned my nipples and then we talked about whether or not to take out the rings from my horizontal nipple piercing. She said it was up to me and I said that whatever was easier for her...we ended up leaving that jewelry in place.
Once that was done she marked me and asked me to check the placement. It was all good and then she got the needles out and got the jewelry ready. She wore gloves the entire time and was very professional. Finally it was time to get stuck...I was calm and relaxed so when she told me to take a deep breath I was prepared for what was coming...an intense burst of pain followed by a dull throbbing. She kept asking if I was ok and I was fine. She got the jewelry in and proceeded to do the right nipple. The procedure was the same with the same result - a VERY cool looking set of double pierced nipples. I was very happy with the way the piercing went and tipped her $50 and I was off. Of course she went over in detail the aftercare procedure before I left and told me to call if anything came up. Needless to say I was happy with everything and haven't had any problems whatsoever since I got stuck again.
The healing period was very uneventful and quite boring. In my estimation it probably took about 3-4 days before cleaning my new piercings wasn't painful. The first cleaning wasn't fun but they rarely are. After that I felt "healed" after 2 weeks barring any outside circumstances such as getting hit in the boob or something like that. I love the way my nipples look now. They looked awesome with they CBR but when I added the barbell...well it's hard to explain. It adds a totally new dimension to me. The piercings are just amazing. I can't say enough about how these kick ass.
To anyone who is considering this piercing go for it. It's worth it and there are benefits - they look amazing and add to sensation. I didn't think I could get anymore after the initial piercing but I was wrong. I did get more and enjoy my "babies" daily.
