I finally did it!!

Well, I finally broke down and had them done! First of all, let me tell you I am a 26 yo Critical Care/ER nurse and I am not what you would call wild or anything like that, but after checking out the pics and experiences on BME, I had to have my nipples pierced. I have been thinking about it off and on for about 6 months, plus my fiance really digs the way they look. I was very nervous about it for a couple of reasons--first of all, I'm really not into pain, and second, I am not the most well endowed! But after seeing all the shapes and sizes on here, I figured what the hell!

Being a nurse, I was very concerned about sterility and how clean the shop was. I called around the area, and Fun City was very nice on the phone, and gave me a lot of information about the process. The price was right, so I jumped in the car, went to the bank and headed over before I could chicken out! It's a good thing they are only about 10 minutes away, because if I had thought about it much longer, I probably would have turned around and gone back home.

I walked into Fun City and Kim instantly put me at ease--she was very professional and told me about her experiences with nipple piercings (she had 4 before having her baby) and she did not lie at all! She said it was one of the most painful piercings...I will definitely agree with that! She went over the aftercare before I even signed the paperwork. Then she got her equipment ready and we walked into the back room.

By this time I was getting sweaty palms, but being completely bull-headed, there was no way I was going to back out! I sat down on the table, and Kim cleaned and marked both my nipples. We checked, made sure everything was even, and now the tough part. I took a deep breath (several, actually!), and when I exhaled, she didn't waste a second! OMIGOD that was totally intense! In one smooth motion there was this burning feeling going straight through my nipple and before I could even get the nerve up to look down, there's the ring!

Well, I won't lie--I got a little light headed, laid down for a minute or two on the table, enjoyed the rush, caught my breath and we went ahead with the second one. I think it was worse because I knew what was coming. She did this one while I was lying down. I took a few more deep breaths, and WOW, that really hurt!!!! I looked down and there's this HUGE needle sticking right through my left nipple!! Once again, it was over before I could really think about how bad it hurt! (Although I remember it quite well now!)

Kim went over the after care again once I was able to stand up and I went ahead and paid for her services. Meanwhile, all I kept thinking was I can't wait to get home and take my bra off! I could feel both nipples throbbing and they both felt hot. I sat there and caught my breath, and watched some kid get his tongue pierced and then I drove myself home. I never realized how bumpy those roads are, but it also seems like the more I tried to miss them, the more bumps I hit!

My right nipple has been bleeding a little bit, but the left one has been fine since it was pierced. I think the right one may be a little bit deeper because it is aching a little more. It feels like having nipple clamps on that are a little too tight. I came home and immediately boiled some water with sea salt in it and let it cool. It felt so good to have that lukewarm liquid on my nipples!

So it has been about 2 hours now and my nipples are still throbbing a little bit, but overall I am very pleased--I love the way they look, and I'm hoping once they stop aching, I will love the way they feel! I keep pulling up my shirt to take a peek at them,and walking to the bathroom to look at them in the mirror. My nipples have never been so perky, and I have this smug smile on my face--just because nobody will know what sort of thing I have hidden underneath my clothes! I can't wait to show my fiance when he gets home! It definitely hurt while getting them done, and they still ache, but it was so worth it. Fun City was great and the facility was very clean--I felt comfortable there instantly. The only question I have is....what to do next?!
