For about 3 years I have had the urge to get my nipple pierced. I have always like my nipples stimulated, and had heard that this is a nice enhancement to that.

Upon finally deciding I would take the plunge, I visited 21st Century Tattoo and Piercing...I spoke with 'Lil Jesse who told me the ins and outs (literally) of what the piercing would be like. She told me the positive as well as the negative. She explained that around my menstrual cycle I would feel a lot of pain from the piercing, my glands under my arm pit would swell up and cause great discomfort, it would excrete a large amount of lymph, it would be swollen, and take 6-12 months to heal, yet often it was even more. There was to be no contact orally, no baths, no touching with non-sterile hands...ugh. To be honest, this honesty of hers scared me off ­ it seemed as if it was too much of an inconvenience and too much pain to go through with it. So I didn't.

Well, after a couple of months passed, I still had the same wish to do it, and some of my fear had subsided. I went again to 21st Century and had the procedure done by "Lil Jesse". She was very thorough in explaining the procedure, and made me feel very comfortable. She insisted that I have some food in my stomach, as well as fluid - preferably juice. She sent me on my way to accomplish this, and I returned fed and with cash in hand.....It was $10 less if paying with cash - well worth the trip to the ATM.

Upon my return she directed me into her piercing booth. She gave me a large pierced dildo to grip in my hand, as the piercing was to take place, (this way I had something to grab at the crucial moment)............................................

I decided to do an angle piercing with a barbell. She drew the dots on my nipple, and had me check to see if I liked where they were. She then placed the clamps on my nipple and adjusted them to line up with the dots. Next were my couple of practice breaths, in out, in out, in out, and in went the needle. She was speaking to me with each step, and as this was done, I looked down to see the needle in my nipple. While I looked at it she prepared the barbell for insertion. Once again the breathing, and in went the barbell, on screwed the ends and I was done !

For me, this experience was not in any way as painful or frightening as I expected it to be. In fact, the most painful part seemed to be the adjustment of the clamps so that its holes lined up with the dots she had drawn. It took a bit of tugging and twisting to get it into place. The pain as the needle went through was quick and sharp, but not bad at all. The insertion of the barbell was a bit less than this ­ and it was all VERY fast.

What the best part of this experience was for me, was the natural high I got from finally doing it! It was like: "wow, I did it! It really took some balls, and I did it ! "

I was very proud of myself, and shocked at the ease of it compared to what I imagined it to be.

I put my bra back on and 'Lil Jesse stated that I would bleed from the piercing. Upon arrival home there was only a pinhead amount of blood...that has been it for me.

It has been nearly 3 weeks now. I have had no swelling, & very little discharge of lymph (pus). I made sure to wear a bra at night so as to provide extra support and less motion to aid in the healing. I washed it twice a day as told I should ­ had a minor amount of stinging at first, when working the nutribiotic through the piercing, but even that is gone now. My partner is the one who has had the difficult time with it....she could not take the same liberties with my breasts and nipples as she had before- although I have reminded her this is only temporary.

As of now, this one nipple does get hard faster and more easily, and I am beginning to feel increased stimulation and sensation just from having the piercing. Very pleasant!

I am even beginning to wish I had done both 

My advice to anyone fearful of this experience: be well informed, and if not 100% ready to do it ­ DON'T !!

Once you do though, it really gives one a sense of freedom and strength that is well worth it, as well as the physical aspects of enjoyment.
