Nipples instead of.... |
| ||||||||||||||||
Aaah! I didn't have to work the night before! I had a full 12 hours sleep, and I was headed downtown to get my septum, and my penis (Prince Albert) pierced! But, lo and behold! The place was pretty much booked through the weekend, so I made an appointment for the next Friday evening. (30 OCT 99)But I was kind of jonesing for something to happen to me, so I headed out to the other tattoo/piercing place just a little ways away. I thought that I'd just go ahead and get my nipples pierced!
I got to the place, just as they opened. I looked at the jewelry, found out about the prices, and decided the nipples were a go! There was a young girl (well, 18, I'm 28!) Who had an appointment to have her tongue done, so I had to wait for her. I asked the gal that works there (Cia) if there was a soda machine close by. Well, how nice of her, she went and bought me one! I was waiting for the girl to have her tongue done, just outside the door smoking, and Cia brought me a chair! Nice touches! She was really friendly and willing to chat. Not what you might expect (Cold, nasty, scary woman! YOu know, the STEREOTYPE!)
Well after the girl had her tongue done, Lloyd (the "resident artist" if you will) had me sit in the chair (after cleaning the area), and get comfortable. While he was busy prepping, I read a National Geographic that was within reach. While I was reading, Cia turned down an underage customer, and chatted with a lady about her dogs, and Lloyd quickly fixed up a piece of piercing jewelry for a woman who's daughter had the thing apparently break while she was participating in a sports game, and was having it fixed while her daughter still played on!
Well, after the brief wait in the chair, it was time for me and Lloyd to spend a little time with each other. I stripped to the waist, and he inspected my nipples. I'd never have thought them before, really, but he seemed to actually be concentrating, and debating things in his head. As it turns out, one nipple is a bit lower than the other, and one apparently is more upturned than the other. Lloyd wanted to set them just a tad differently in the respective nipples, and to have them just a little bit higher on the sides to create a more "inward" or "centering" effect, which would downplay the difference in my natural nipple placement.
What the..... Some biker looking guy, sitting there talking about things like that? :) I'd never really thought there was more to being a piercer than "Is there enough there to pierce? O.K., let's do it!" I guess that's a bit of the artistry that's inherent in the business, something someone like myself had never really thought about before.
Well, after putting dots on the nipples where he wanted to do it (well, a bit behind the actual nipple, really)I looked in the mirror, and decided it looked good enough to me! (I'd trust his artistry!) Well, he cleaned me up, and he took what looked like a bottle of whitish epoxy, and smeared a little dab where the pierces would pierce. I asked him what it was, as I was curious. He told me it was a concotion of his own, a combination of an anti-bacterial, a moisturizer and something else (I forget). With that done, he said he'd be piercing first, then inserting the jewelry.
Well, clamps out, and onto nipple number one (left nipple). He'd explained that this nipple might be just a little harder to do than the other one as it had "more structure" so it might be just a little more painful than the other one. Well he took the needle and slid it through! It went smoothly and quickly from the outside towards the center of the chest. I'd clenched my hands around part of the chair, and squeezed them tightly, but I was surprised. The pain was really minimal! Well, it was on to the right nipple, the "less structured" one. Well, clamps on, ready, set.... Swish! It went through just fine. Nice and quickly and smoothly! But DANG! That was a little more pain than the other, not too bad, really, but it was noticeably more pain than the first nipple. After Lloyd spent a little while cleaning the bit of blood, swabbing it clean, and making a bit of small chit-chat, he asked me to go ahead and take a look at them in the mirror. Aaah! I liked what I saw!
In the less than 24 hours I've had them in, I already realize that though they're tender, and a little sore, that I already seem to feel my nipples more than I ever have. They tingle a little bit, and it feels pretty good! I think I'll really like these little things as time goes on!
If you care to ask me any questions about this, or just to comment to me on it, feel free!
