I have wanted to get my nose pierced for years, probably since i was 12. I was never interested in any other piercing, just the nostril. I would occasionally bring the subject up to my mom, "Mom, can I get my nose pierced?" her response would always be "No." I would not pester her, I just wanted to keep the idea in the back of her mind, hoping that one day she would crack and take me to get it done. It worked...it only took several years.

I had finally gotten the answer I had been waiting to hear but not in the way I wanted it to sound, but I didn't dwell on the fact that she was so unsupportive about it too long and so I planned on going to get it done the next day. So fast forward to the next day! Me and my mom are on our way to Cowpok.
I was last minute debating if i wanted to get high nostrils or 2 piercings in one nostril. Once we got there i had decided i better not get the high nostrils incase it was too crazy for my mom and she would back out and drag me home. So we get there, and i am admiring the woman at the front desks high nostril piercings and I tell her what I am interested in doing and she asks for my i.d., so i reach into my purse, get my wallet, and realize i don't have my identification with me, so I drove all the way home and grabbed my license and drove back. That sucked because it took almost an hour because of all the traffic but the lady gave me a $5 off card, which was rad. So once I get my paper work done I had to pick out my jewelry, and for some reason when I picked up the jewelry holder, i flipped it upside down and a stud fell out, but luckily i found it, although to this day i still cant tell you why I flipped it upside down. I was kinda embarrassed, haha, but the lady was real nice about it. Once everything at the front desk is settled, me and my mom go into the back room with the piercer, Sarah, and she cleans my nose, draws the dots on, and i check it in the mirror, it is all lookin' good, and sit down on the chair. As I am looking up at the ceiling, preparing myself, I see there are paintings by Salvador Dali and i had to laugh because those paintings are not really the most relaxing paintings to look at before your getting a hole poked it your body! Eventually I got over the humor in that and Sarah tells me she is going to start, and she puts the first needle through, and it kinda hurt but not that bad. Way less then i thought it would. It was just a real quick pinch, nothing major. Then it comes time for the second one, and that one hurt way more than the first and the pan lingered for way longer and my eye was watering like crazy! So I sit up check it out again and it looks great! I was very happy with them, I then showed my mom but she was looking a little queasy at this point. So I wiped the tears from my eye, said "thank you" as many times as I could and went to pay. As I was paying I overheard my mom talking to another mom whose daughter also forgot her i.d. at home. I felt her pain. After i paid (and tipped!) they gave me some salt to put into distilled water to soak my piercings with and some soap to clean my piercings with in the shower. It's been about 4 months now and they are doing swell and still lookin' good. I am happy i went with the double nostril but I do wonder what if I got high nostrils...
I will definitely go back to the Cowpok in the future. In fact, I will be going back very soon to get a monroe done, or lowbrets, I'm not sure yet. But everybody was super nice and it was real clean and sanitary and had a good atmosphere. If anybody is looking to get pierced in Buffalo, NY i would suggest going to the Cowpok, for sure. I know alot of people who get pierced there and nobody ever says anything negative, just love for Cowpok.
