I got into piercings at a very early age. I have always loved them since i was a young boy. I have done tons of piercings to people. I am very well for the most part. I am always satisfied with my work. I just love the feeling of a job well done. I would hope to pursue a professional career in doing tattoo's and piercings. I will be attending an Apprenticeship at a local tattoo shop called Ink Wizard hopefully this upcoming year. I am now 15, I will be 16 in a few months. I live in Georgia.

Now, This piercing idea started from my girlfriend Jessica. Awhile ago she told me she wanted me to do hers, and she told me I should do mine too. So, I did it a few months after she had told me and forgot all about it. When I told her, she was pretty disappointed in me, but she claims to like it so i'm pleased. :]

Well, one day i was just sitting on my bed in my room pulling at the area where a naval piercing would be located. Now I have done every single one of my own piercings so far. I have 3 on each ear. the first one half inch second size 10 and third 14's. I am very experienced with piercings. I use only professional equipment. I don't use safety pins!

That day i was having a really bad day. I almost got in a fight with some stupid rednecks at school, so my adrenaline was just screaming for more. Anyone who's done a DIY piercing knows what I'm talking about.

Well.. I finally decided to do it, so i grabbed my little piercing kit and a pair of black dragon gloves and I headed to the bathroom.

I was so eager to pierce it that I didn't make any markings of where I wanted the needle to go. I didn't even clean the area..I just went to work.

I grabbed my a chunk of skin with my hand and pointed the needle up from inside of the belly button. I slowly stuck the needle in a little and waited for my adrenaline to kick in so I wouldn't feel it as much. The needle went straight in really fast. I was almost done. Now the part I hate most with every piercing. Getting out of the other side. I hesitated a little bit and started. The needle tip was now visible and I felt a very tense amount of pain. I built up the courage and slowly pushed the needles way through my flesh. It was all the way through.

Then after the piercing needle was through I went into somewhat of a state of shock. Everything began turning black and i became very weak. I thought i had hit a major vain or something and was slowly dying. I was terrified. I started shaking tremendously and became very ill, hanging over the toilet feeling like I was about to throw up. I became so weak I could not hang over the toilet anymore so I just sat there, sweating tremendously. I had found a styrofoam cup on the bathroom floor and gained some strength and filled it with sink water. I became better slowly. After i had regained my health I went back to work.

I had grabbed the needle and pushed its way through with the belly ring following it. Somehow, the needle had come completely out with the belly ring half way in. I had lost the hole. So painfully, I had begun searching for the end with the very blunt belly ring. About an hour had passed and i was exhausted. Then, I saw the belly ring. I could see it through a few thick layers of skin.

I grabbed the piercing needle and turned it upside down and used it as a receiving tube, and slowly pushed the blunt piece of surgical steel through my skin painfully.

The belly ring was finally through in about an hour or two. I looked in the mirror and i was extremely satisfied. I have had the piercing for roughly three days now and still love it.

Well, I hope you liked reading about my experience. I hope you learned something too! I know I did, I learned to take my time and to do all the preparation steps first. Now remember, I am not a professional but I have had practice and I used professional equipment. I would highly recommend not doing a DIY piercing without the proper equipment. You must know what you're doing or you could really injure yourself. If I were you, I would get your piercing done professionally. The pain is a million times worse doing it yourself. Believe me.
