Hey!

My name is Camilla, and I'm 15 years old. I am a big fan of piercings and tattoos, and I can't remember a time in my life I wasn't fascinated by beautiful jewellery and drawings. My neighbour got her navel pierced years ago, when I was about 10, and I would buy barbells for her because I loved how her piercing made her look so much older and cooler. Yes, I was only 10, and she was my idol at that time. I can't imagine my life without more piercings and some tattoos.

Unfortunatly, my parents don't agree with me. They think piercings look ugly and big, and tattoos are ugly black drawings that stay on your body even when you get all wrinkly and stuff. My mom was a straight A student when she went to school, and it seems like everything I do isn't good enough. She wants me to be her little angel, after all I'm "her only child!".. So naturally, I try to be the biggest rebel I can. I want to have many tattoos, and more than 5 piercings. Not quite sure where, because I love mostly every piercing out there. And I don't want my face to look weird because of too many piercings. I want to pierce my tongue, my lip, my nipples, another navel piercing (horizontal just below the navel), a madonna (not sure), industrial, more holes in my ears, my nose (not sure), eyebrow (not sure), and I really love anti-eyebrows and surfaces.

Anyways.. I wanted a piercing. Actually, several piercings. But I found out a navel piercing was the only one my parents would even concider. I started printing pictures, reading and printing articles, memorizing hygiene rules, just about everything you're supposed to do before getting a piercing. I then started leaving "random" notes around the house with pics of piercings or just the words "Navel Piercing, please???". I would bring it up in any conversation with my parents. This happened when I was 14, and the age limit to get a piercing without your parents permission is 16. My mom is not exactly a rule breaker, so she first started saying I could get one when I turned 16 (which is in december this year by the way..). My dad promised I would get one some time.

After a year (A YEAR) of talking, begging, nagging, yelling and hinting.. They finally started saying I could get one soon! I was so happy! I'm an only child, so I've learned that the more you tell your parents you want/NEED something, the bigger the chance is you actually get it.

After my confirmation, we had dinner at home, and they told me they had given in. I could get a navel piercing! I jumped around, hugging my parents and screaming "THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!". Hehe!

We did some research, and found a piercing place with a good reputation. My mom called and talked to the lady there, and she told us to come in a few days.

The days went by so slowly, but finally the day came! My mom and I took the bus when I came home from school, and after some time we got to the piercing place. I was really nervous, but mostly excited and super-happy.

My mom signed some papers saying I was 15 (cough cough), and the lady told me to come with her upstairs. My mom is kind of a chicken, so she just stayed downstairs. When we got upstairs she told me to sit down in a chair, and we talked about hygiene and what piercing I wanted. I chose a barbell with flames, and she marked out where she was going to push the needle through. My stomach was filled with butterflies, but I got in the chair again and layed down so my stomach stretched out.

She put the clip thing on and made sure the holes were where they should. "Okay, breathe in deep" she told me, and when I did that, I could feel a slight sting. The needle was through! She put the barbell in, and I couldn't stop looking at it. I loved it from the first moment I saw it! We talked some more about animals (we both had rabbits), and then she put the bandaid over.

My mom saw it the next day, and she thought it looked cool (but I suspect she was lying, because she won't look at it anymore).

It didn't get infected or anything, even thought I might have played with it a few times more than I should.

Now I'm just waiting to turn 16, because they can't stop me from getting more piercings. I just love them!

I hope this story inspired people to get more piercings, this was a very good experience for me =]
