Hey My name is Sarah and Im 15. About a week ago I had decided to get something pierced and my friends said how bout the belly button. I didnt want just some plain common piercing so I got mine pierced on the bottom of my navel.

On the day I got up and I was heaps nervous! I rang up the piercing place which was called Orgazmic.Most of my friends had their piercings done there and I was fairly new to them. On the phone I talked to a guy named Joff who sounded really bubbly and nice he told me about the procedure and costs and told me I should buy numbing patches so when I get to the store I will not feel a thing lol.
The numbing patches I got were EMLA patches which were very good, on arriving at Orgazmic my Mum and I were greeted by a young girl who had piercings on her face and these great tattoos on her knuckles which spelled out 'lucky lady'. By this time I was a bit nervous and I told her that, she smiled and said 'How can you be nervous you have your nose pierced that would of hurt heaps more then this will!' She was probably right I thought as I remembered the day I had gotten my nose pierced. We had to wait a little bit but it was great cos they had photos of people who had gotten it done and some I knew my mum kept looking around at all the piercing jewellery.
We got called into a back room which reminded me of a doctor's office and I saw my piercer. He looked very experienced and he gave me a huge smile and started explaining to me the procedure and stuff. The girl with the face piercings came in and so did another Orgazmic worker a girl who had short hair and both of them were so bubbly and sweet talking to me about my nose piercing and just normal stuff that I instantly felt relaxed. Joff, the piercer guy lined up the bottom of my navel to make sure it wouldnt go crooked and told me just to hop up onto the table. The girl with the short hair passed me a stress ball to squeeze when it hurt and I just laid back and waited for it to get done. The clamp didnt hurt at all so I was glad for the EMLA patches they are the best I recommend them. I felt a sharp pain when the needle went in and out I looked down and saw the bar in me but it didnt have a ball on the bottom. Joff screwed it on and by that time the pain had subsided and it was just a dull throb.
Hopping off the table and looking at it was the best I reckon everyone gets a sorta high right after they get something pierced cos yay you got it done! It looked great I had 2 gorgeous blue stones in the 2 balls and I loved them. Joff told me about aftercare and gave me a sheet which explained everything. Mum and I paid and left Orgazmics. It stung pretty bad for the first few minutes leaving the shop but it subsided and when I got home I straight away put antiseptic liquid on it and it felt great but it was very sensitive.
That night I went to my boyfriends and he kept forgetting I had gotten it done so he kept hitting it cos it was so sensitive. He hit it really hard by accident while we were hugging and it took everything for me not to cry the pain was that intense! Couldnt believe it. I have been putting salt soaks on like it says in my aftercare sheet and it is looking great hardly any redness at all and I think that getting it done on the bottom looks way better then the standard boring navel piercing. It isnt as sensitive as it was and the salt soaks are very quick and easy.
I reccomend getting the bottom of your navel pierced it is just different and you feel more unique when you show your friends but the day you get it done watch out about hitting it or people accidently wacking it. Cos it does hurt! The procedure is quick and not that painful probably about the same getting stung by a bee. I love my piercing it is unique and its mine.
Orgazmics is a great piercing place the people there are so friendly and you straight away feel at ease. That is very important because if your not relaxed you will feel the pain more and it will be a very bad experience I'm happy that mine turned out good and that my piercing is looking healthy and not so red. The salt soaks are great and you should stick to them morning and night if you want your navel piercing to heal quick and without any problems. I love my piercing it is unique and beautiful!
