Well I have wanted my belly button pierced since I was about 10. Since I was only 10 there was no way in hell my parents would let me get my belly button pierced. One night my parents went out and my best friend Sierra was staying with me. She was 14 at the time. She wanted her belly button pierced also. So we decided we would do it ourselves. We got a couple sewing needles and a pair of earrings and went at it. We sterilized the needles and earrings in alcohol and with a lighter. This probably wasn't the best idea. I did mine first; Sierra put ice on it and pushed it through. She had to push it quite hard because the needle wasn't very sharp. We didn't even pierce it in the right spot. She thought that she was supposed to insert the needle in the top of the belly button and it came out inside the belly button. So it didn't really work out all that well. After we did hers everything was great. It hurt pretty bad but we figured it was normal. After about 2 weeks my mom found out what I had done. She was pretty upset with me but I really didn't get in any trouble. Well Sierra ended up getting her professionally done. I was hella jealous. But there really wasn't much I could do. Last summer (when I was 12) we had gone to Alabama and my friend went with me and she was talking about getting her belly button pierced. I still wanted mine done way bad. So when we got back from Alabama I asked my mom if I could go get it done. She told me to ask my dad and all this other crap. But eventually they both decided that I could get it done. But I had to pay for it.

I was so excited. I wasn't nervous at all really. Until I started filling out the paper work. Kelso laid me down on the chair like thing and pierced me! I was so happy. It didn't hurt at all really other than the clamps. I bled quite a bit though after that. Well my mom wanted hers done too so she ended up getting hers done too. I loved my belly button. I loved going out to the lake and being in a swim suit which I would never do before. The healing process only took about 2 months instead of 6. If you make sure to wash it daily and do sea salt soaks it speeds up the process a lot. I had been doing a lot of reading about navel piercing on bmezine.com. I had also seen some of the multi-navel piercing pictures. I had fallen in love with them. I had been wanting a horizontal piercing on the bottom of my belly button ever since I had gotten the first one done. So one day my mom and a friend and I were out just chillin and shopping. So I just decided to ask my mom if I could get another piercing.
I honestly thought that she wouldn't let me. But she said I could. So we all went to the Ink Spot again and told Jack what I had wanted. After I told him what I wanted done he told me that he wouldn't be able to do it because most horizontal surface piercing don't like to stay in. The body will most likely reject them. He said he could try it but he didn't want to leave me a scar on my belly button if it didn't work out. So we talked and thought of another way I could make a project out of my belly button. So we finally decided on putting a vertical piercing on the bottom just like the top. We went through all the paper work and everything and it was just like the first time. He took me in the same room where Kelso did my first piercing and we did it. It did hurt a little bit more than the first one did though, I will admit to that. I didn't bleed like I did the first time though. The healing process is a little bit longer I think on a bottom piercing. Hip hugger jeans are a necessity when you have the bottom of your navel pierced. Because if you get your piercing stuck on your jeans when you sit down it hurts really bad!. After the piercing heals low cut jeans aren't as much of a necessity as when you first get it done. I truly recommend getting the bottom of your belly button pierced. I think it is so fun to have piercing and when you have more than one on one part of your body it just makes it even more unique. So if you are ever in the Casper area and want either a piercing or a tattoo definitely go the Ink Spot. If I ever get more holes in my body or inked any...that will be the only place in Casper I would even consider going to. Happy Piercing!
