Okay this experience is about my new addition of body mods, an inverse navel. How I came around to finding this piercing is looking around on BME I wanted something new. My family said no to a facial one I wanted which I was crushed but they just said to wait awhile. So I was looking out on the site and came across the inverse navel and fell in love!

After what seemed forever....they said yes! I was ecstatic. I went out on the site and looked up a few experiences on the inverse navel and looked at what I was expecting. That night I couldn't sleep just like when I got my nose pierced. So I basically didn't sleep at all I kept on imagining what it was going to look like. So I got up and marked where I thought I wanted it using eye liner (next best thing to permanent marker) and I was seeing if it was even.
The next morning I swear my parents where going to kill me because I kept bugging them and asking when where we going to go? My moms answer was quite or you're not getting it so that quickly shut me up. I couldn't keep myself quite I wanted to tell my friend instead of surprising her cause I wanted her to go with me. I called her up and told her and she said she wanted to go which I was glad I didn't have to ask her and seem desperate so yeah.
She came right over and we hung out for a little trying to get my mind off of it but we were both excited. I was happy because I was getting my second mod towards my life of piercing and she was happy because she could see me in pain and laugh her ass off. But by the time we were about to leave I had almost forgot to eat something which could have been a bad thing so grabbed a granola bar and hoped that would work to eat quickly. And then we were on are way to hickory but them stupid me forgot my ID card so we had to turn all the way around after we pulled out of our sub division and we need it to prove im really my parents child.
Once we got there we went to the front counter and he asked me what I wanted I said a navel. I also asked him if I could have an inverse one though not standard and he asked me to show him my navel to see if I could get it and he said sure it would be fine. I was glad I would have been disappointed if I couldn't have gotten it. Then we had to fill out all the proper information and my dad had to give him his license and my ID which he copied and then gave back to us. After all that he asked me what jewelry I wanted and all the other things were a little to girly for me so I picked out a regular steel banana bar. He said it would be a few minutes because the piercer had a few customers and then had to sterilize the told and jewelry.
As I was waiting I watched a girl get an industrial wow looked painful but came out really cool. I started feeling nervous so I said I was going to walk outside for a little and I started talking to a woman outside that just had a tattoo done. She was asking me questions on what I was getting done and she said it was totally cool she hadn't really seen one and asked if she could see it when I was done. Of course I was going to show it off.....I said yes.
Then I heard it my name being called so I walked back inside and said it was me and the piercer called me to his room. I called my friend in there to watch because I know she wanted to so of course I let her. The piercer moved the chair so it was sitting in a bed like position and told me to lie down on the chair. He then said for me to tuck my shirt in my bra and so I did and he started to clean my navel with some simple rubbing alcohol and then he marked the spot were he was going to pierce it. I was kind of surprised he didn't ask if it was ok but I think there is only sertant spots he can pierce so I wasn't to concerned and he has done so many of my friends so perfect so no concern to me.
He told me to take a nice deep breath and blow it out slowly when I felt a very sharp pain but not a pain I couldn't stand then he told me to take another breath when I felt another sharp pain a little worse he asked me to repeat it again which I did wondering what the hell is going on down there which I felt more stabbing pain then the best thing...him screwing on the top ball he said I was done.
He said I could get up which I think I did a little to fast because I got dizzy and leaned against the wall and almost fell over he looked at me and asked if I was okay and I said I would be fine but he told me to take a seat any way which I did but didn't do that until I took a look at my new addition. It was wonderful!!! Perfect in every way it was barley red no blood what so ever. We went and paid at the front counter and got cleaning instructions and then I walked out still holding my shirt up in awe staring at my new piercing nearly running into the front door. Then before I left I showed the women my navel and she said it was wicked and I walked off happily to our truck.
Oh man was that fun trying to climb into I came with a lot of colorful terms. Then we were on are way home and to show off to all my friends. That night of sleeping was fine I didn't eve realized when I rolled over on my stomach just a light pressure. The care was easy and not hard to do never have any blood at all. Since then which was a month ago (10/1/05) every thing is healing great its just now starting to really scab up and close which can be a little painful.
