I just turned 19 and I now have 10 piercings. My first one was original the normal top part of my navel and I was soon to learn that piercings are very addictive. Having a friend that also now has 10 piercings does not help too much. We just blame her brother for everything.
About 3 years after getting my navel done I noticed , along with my friends and boyfriend that is was starting to grow out. I really did not want it too grow out and end up having a disgusting scare on my stomach, so since my friend kept telling me to take it out I finally did and felt naked . I need something to fill the void. I sat at work talking to her about getting another piercing like the bottom of my navel done. She was trying to convince me to get my vertical hood done and to this day gives me 3 months before I do get it done. We finally decided that I was going to come over that Wednesday and get my lower navel done.
That Wednesday I was all excited I was putting another hole through my body and mommy was not going to know about it and really what do I care I was 18 and she could not stop me. After work I went over to her house and went straight over to Primal because it closed at 7. I started to get that excited feeling again like I usually do, but I just kept telling myself that it was okay I have 10 other piercing that I have gone through and this is nothing it will be okay. Come on I have my nipple done how much could it really hurt.
I got in there and waited for Chris to say I could come back which was literally 2 seconds. I got to the back and was starving by this time ( ALWAYS eat before you get a piercing. I was stupid). I watched him set everything up like I do every single time that I get it done. Chris had me stand up to mark my stomach. When standing it will look a lot different that when lying down. I looked in the mirror and for the first time ever I did not like where the placement was. He told me that my navel is off to the left and from a little ways away if looks straight. But he put another mark and now I had 4 different dots on me. He told me that he could do the piercing in between the dots and I thought that would be just peachy perfect. I lied on the table and he put the clamp on me. Like every other time he told me to inhale and on the exhale he pushed the needle though me. Oh my god hurt that much. He asked me if I was okay. I told him that that one was the most painful even more than my nipple or tongue. He agreed with me. He has done them his self and on the lower navel you do not have that part of skin like the top of the navel. I really did not want to get up. I was afraid of it hurting a lot because when I got my upper navel done I could not even bend over to do up my shoes and my ever so loving friend would not do it either.
I did get up and go out to the front where my friend was about to fall over from hunger. She was ready to yell at me and tell me to hurry up because I always talk to Chris when I am getting things done. I think that you should be able to be comfortable and talk to the piercer. I went and paid the amount for the piercing and gave him a tip for his lovely work. He told me that since it is more of a surface piercing and in a high traffic area not to be upset or surprised if it ends up migrating. Now the fun part was driving home. I really did not want the seat belt to rub against it and make it mad. I got back to her house and it did not bug me for the first couple of hours, Of course than came bedtime. I always sleep on my stomach. Ya I could not do that for the first couple of nights. It really did not start bugging me till later on. I have managed to pull at it on my desk. That hurt a lot. I have had it for about a month and have been doing a lot of things like I usually do. I seem to not have a problem with healing at all. The piercing was just a bit red and crusty. It still gets sore if it is rubbed the wrong way or hit, but it is healing perfectly normal and good and does not seem to be migrating or rejecting I could not be happier. Now lets see how long it takes before I get my new piercing.
