My name is Alissa I have my top navel piercing done and my experience is posted but my top wasn't enough so I decided to get my bottom done too. After finally talking my parents into it I called a piercer and made a appointment. My appointment was made for Wendsday at 1:30, I was so excited.

I had always wanted my belly button pierced and when I got my top done I asked if I could get my bottom done at the same time. And of course my parents said NO!!! It's to much they said and I kept telling them that it would be adorable but they didn't listen. About a week and a half before my birthday they asked what i wanted. I thought about it and the first thing that came to my mind was my bottom navel pierced, I told them and they gave in and said yes!!!!
When I woke up that morning I could hardly wait. Finally at 1:00 I left and was on my way to go get it done. When I got there she knew exactly who I was, she had my parents sign a waiver and all that good stuff then she told me to lay down on the bed, as I was laying down on the bed my mom keep bugging me saying stuff like "are you sure you wanna go through with this" and "you don't have to do this" as i'm sitting there listening to this I'm like Mom shut up cause my adreneline is already pumping hella hard.
She cleaned my belly button with alchol and marked where the entry and exit hole was going to be and showed me with a mirror. She told me that she was going to stick the needle through the bottom and come through on top. Kelly (The piercer) explained to me what she was doing at the moment and then explained to me what was going to happend. After that, it was time to get pierced! First she took a hold of my skin with these tong's that had a hole in the middle where the needle was going, after that she assured me everything was fine, She told me to take a deep breath and breath out slowly, as I was breathing out she stuck the needle through in a matter of seconds the needle was through she turned around, got the ring, put it in, and put the bead on, after that she took pliers to tighten the bead and reshape the ring to make it look good. I expected it to hurt a little bit but I barely even felt it, the only thing I felt was the tongs pinching my skin.
After that I was all done, the whole thing took about 20 seconds. She told me to lay there for a couple seconds, asked if I felt dizzy or sick, I said no and after that she told me to sit up slowly and stay seated because getting up to fast could make you dizzy or lightheaded after getting a piercing for a while. While I was sitting down she explained how to take care of it, what to use, and what I can and can't do with it. Then I started asking her questions about other piercing (I swear I'm addicting to piercings)
When I got home I was so excited to call all of my friends and tell them what I just did!!!! I went to all my neighbors houses and showed ALL of them. When I called my friends to tell them 3 of them made a special trip to my house just to see it. And all three of them ended up asking there parents if they could get it done and only one of there parents actually said yes. Later that week I went with my freind to get hers done by the same person I did. After we got done I asked her how it was and she said she didn't feel a thing she described the exact kind of pain I did.
After all my experiences with piercings I think that my top and bottom navel was probably the best experience. I loved the adreneline rush I got right before all of it and it was probably the least painful piercing I have ever had. If I were to compare the pain of getting my navel pierced to my ears I would say my ears hurt like somebody was ripping my ear off and my navel just felt like somebody poked me with a thorn or something.
After all the healing process you can do so many different ball combinations to match your outfit's or bathing suit I LOVE IT. When I go to the mall or shopping somewhere with jewlery that's the first thing I look at. I always think a girl can never have to many belly button rings.
