I wanted a bellybutton ring since the age of 13. The first belly ring I ever saw, was the one on my Aunt when i was 12. I thought it was so cool. Then I turned 13 and girls my age started getting them (you can get pierced where i live starting at 13.) Grade 9 came and more girls were getting them. It felt to me like everybody and there mother was getting one, so why couldn't I? most of my friends had them and I was jealous. I asked my mom and she said no, she said they where to sexual for a 14 year old. I was so mad. So a year went by (i'm 15 now) and the end of grade 10 was rolling around. I asked my mom if I could get my belly button pierced, if I got good grades. My mom said yes, and I worked my ass off. School ended and with a student average of 78 my mom said yes, and made my appointment! I was so excited!

I had to wait a month, because I was going on vacation and I wanted to swim. So we got home from the trip and pretty soon the day of my piercing finally came, and I was a little nervous. I was getting it done at 7pm when my mom got home from work, so I had a whole day to freak out. I had heard horror stories but tried to brush them aside and out of my mind. The time came to leave and I brought 2 of my friends with me. We got there and went inside, signed a paper, looked at the belly rings, waited for another girl to get pierced and then it was my turn. The thing I had been waiting for for 3 years was about to happen! We went inside and she told me about cleaning instructions, then to go and pick a ball to have on my ring. I picked a light blue one. She cleaned my belly button, showed me the dot she picked to pierce my belly button at, then I lied down for her to pierce it. She asked me if I wanted to have it frozen. I asked her which one was better, she gave my these to examples "freezing fells cold and people are used to cold and with no freezing it fells hot like stubbing your toe." I went with freezing because I hate the stubbing my toe felling. My two friends left the room because at this point, one was freaked out by needles, we laughed at her a little then it was time to pierce my belly button.
My mom was holding my hand and her and the Piercing Lady were breathing with me, I felt the freezing stuff going on my belly. It felt like water then I felt pressure and she said something like "here we go...". I felt like a little pinch then she was like "I just need to put the bead on and we are done!" I was like "That's it!!" I thought she hadn't even pieced it yet! It was painless! I went and looked at it and I loved it.
My parents (surprisingly) like it, and all my friends do to. My mom says if she was not so old she would get one to. I was talking to one of my friends about it and she said "see, I told you it doesn't hurt" So take it from me. Don't freak out, cause it's painless and so worth it! You fell better about showing your stomach to because the attention is drawn to your belly button with the cute ring, and you stomach looks thinner.
My bellybutton piercing experience was a good one. I felt no pain! My ring is cute and isn't even that red yet. I think my stomach looks really cute. I can't wait to wear the curved barbell belly rings, I already own 5!
Creation Body Piercing is such a good shop. It's clean and everyone is really nice and helpful. There professional and all really talent. They have a huge collection of jewelry (like belly rings, nose studs, eye brow rings, earrings etc.) and other thing, like hair dye and funny magnets (we bought some cat butt ones. hahaha). They do about ever piercing to, at cheap prices. My belly ring was only 46 dollars. I totally recommend them if you live in Thunder Bay!
