Anyway the time came when I decided I wanted to be pierced, I have been through a fair amount of stuff, I'm a self harmer, and I don't know but the adrenaline rush after a piercing is so similar.
Anyway back onto my piercings. I had already decided I wanted to reach 10 piercings and I was currently at 7. I had seen quite a few people with just the standard lower navel and I wanted something different. I saw a picture on BME where someone had their lower navel pierced twice, kind of looks like an upside down V only the top balls don't meet. I had to time it right and I needed to save up so I thought pay day would be a good day plus it would be 2 days before my 18th birthday. I had a couple of hours free in between college lessons. So I went down to the studio, with a photo I had printed off. I talked to the lady inside and she said she could do them both for 45 pounds, I thought that was pretty good actually.
So I filled in all the forms, she told me about the aftercare etc and then I went to sit down in the chair. She wiped my belly with sum cleaning stuff and made some marks and gave me a mirror. She said she would not go any further until I was 100%satisfied with the positioning. After a couple of tries I was happy. She wiped my belly for the final time. Then she sprayed on the numbing spray (the magic stuff) and swapped gloves and placed a clamp on the right one. She put the needle through and pulled the bar through. Fastened on the ball and that was one complete.
She then proceeded to do the left one which was a little tougher because the skin was a little thicker so that hurt a little more than the previous one. She finished that one and then gave them one final clean. The right one was bleeding a fair amount which I was a little shocked about but it soon stopped. She bandaged me up, made me wait 10 minutes before we went back in the shop. I signed the form and paid. She gave me 2 aftercare appointments so she could see how they were doing. I was well happy. I found I walked like a duck. I didn't want to bend down.
Anyway I went into Boots, where I work, to buy some antiseptic spray stuff and some cotton wool pads. Whilst in there I was wandering around trying to hold my tummy in whenever someone walked past me. I saw a few of my work friends who were like so you got your belly pierced, cool. I said actually I got it pierced twice at the bottom and they were all like did it not hurt? Well it only did a little but nothing compared to my tragus. So I proceeded back to college, being extremely careful when putting on my seat belt and it was very strange trying to drive.
I get back into college and my friends were like Oh God she has another piercing. My friend has a few done and she is always showing off by talking about her nipple. She wasn't too impressed with me he he he. When I got home I felt something running down my tummy, I went into the bathroom to find my belly covered in blood. I thought oh no what on earth has happened. I peeled away the bandage thing and was so happy when I saw they were both there. It was the right one that wouldn't stop bleeding. I got my spray, laid on the floor and squirted it into my belly button and carefully wiped away that and the blood. I bandaged it back up and put a little pressure on it to stop it bleeding. Eventually it did.
Anyway I did find that it was really easy for me to catch the balls on the bottom as they were stuck out, whereas the smaller ones were nicely tucked away in my belly button. So I bought some micro banana bells off the internet and I have swapped them. The holes have shrunk because the bars are thinner but I'm really pleased, they look really pretty and purple.
I am saving up my money now because I want to reach my goal of 10 piercings, but I'm seriously thinking of getting a tattoo and I can't afford both. Plus I cant seem to make up my mind on a design, I would love something with stars on and it to relate to a very dear friend but I don't want a name scrawled over my back or any initials.
