It all started when I was 7 years old and my mom came home with her belly button pierced. I thought it looked so cute! I asked my mom if I could get mine done and of course she said no. Well, what kind of mom would let their 7 year get their belly button pierced? =P
A few weeks after my thirteenth birthday (April 24th) I started thinking about getting it done. I asked my mom and she made a deal with me. I kept my half of the deal and she had yet to keep hers which was to take me to get my belly button pierced.
One day I was looking at belly button rings with my mom when my older sister (16) walked up. She asked my mom, "You seriously aren't going to let her get her belly button pierced are you?" My mom said, "No, she's too young." I was crushed! I didn't want to argue or anything so I just let it go.
A few months later (November) I started thinking about it. I started talking to my boyfriend about it and he said it would look cute on me. I asked my mom again and the answer was a no. She said my dad would kill both of us. So I went to ask my dad. (My parents are separated by the way.) He said "NO EFFING WAY!" Haha. Finally I got him to say yes, as long as my mom would say yes. I looked at my mom and she said she would say yes if my dad said yes. Okay, that's screwed up. I started to forget about it and didn't want to pester my mom so I would have no chance at all.
A few days ago I was talking to my mom and I casually brought up our little deal. She said she would take me as long as I paid and as long as my dad didn't find out. I was so excited! I had been researching piercing places for a long time. I found a place that would pierce me called Loyalty Tattoos. It took a while to find a place since I am only 13. Finally I found this place. I was supposed to go on Monday but I was really sick. So we decided to go on Tuesday but I was still sick. Okay, so Wednesday it was. Not. We got the directions and we got lost. So my mom said Thursday. (Today) We got lost yet again. It took us about 20 minutes to get there when it should have taken only about 10.
So we get to Loyalty Tattoos and walk in and there was a guy getting a tattoo done. The piercer (didn't catch his name) greeted us and asked us what we wanted done. My mom filled out the paperwork and whatnot and I told him I wanted a barbell. I didn't get to pick one; I got a presteralized plain silver one. I went in the little room and sat down on the leopard print chair thingy. He told me stand up and tuck my shirt into my bra while he marked me. He told me to lay down while he changed his gloves and got the needles and stuff out. I noticed a mirror on the ceiling that showed the needle and stuff on the little tray.
I was squeezing my mom's hand because I was deathly afraid, haha. He put the clamp on (which I didn't feel) and put the needle through. I'm not trying to scare you guys when I say this but it hurt like hell. Only for a few minutes though. This obviously prooves that I have a very low pain tolerance. He put the ring in explained the healing process and cleaning process. I got up and looked in the mirror and fell in love with it! By the time we paid it didn't hurt at all! It was about $45. We got in the car and I made sure that the seatbelt wouldn't rub against my stomach. We got lost on the way home but we made it.
I don't think I've had it for more that an hour and I already love it! I called my boyfriend when I got home and was teasing him and told him that I wouldn't show it to him.
