It all started back when I was 16 I really wanted to get my belly button pierced but my parents wouldn't let me. So I managed for them to let me get my cartilage pierced but that's a different story.

My dad was all against me getting that as well but somehow I persuaded her into letting me get one. For some reason she rather let me get a tattoo then let me get my belly button pierced but oh well it all works out for me. So my sister and my mom take me 3 days after my 17th birthday to Tribal Passage in Brick, NJ to get my tattoo but we'll save that for another time. After I got my tattoo I still really wanted my navel pierced but the answer was still no. I begged with my parents so many times. Saying stuff like " All my friends have there's done" , or "You let me get a tattoo which is permanent and you won't let me get a piercing that I can take out" and as well as " Danielle has one so why can't I get one". The last one meaning nothing because my sister is 25 and she's married so that's not really giving me any leverage for anything but at the time I thought I was making a valid point. I heard so many stories of how much it hurt or it didn't hurt at all, all I knew was I was going to get me belly button pierced with my parents consent or when I turned 18 and it came down to me turning 18 but I didn't care I was just so happy I was finally able to get it done.
So I've just turned 18 back in June on the 12th and well I decided I still wanted to get my belly button pierced so I got my belly button done back in July. I went to Exotics in Brick, NJ I took my friend Merissa and her boyfriend Joe with me when I got it done. I left the house that day and my mom asked me where I was going and when I told her she knew she couldn't do anything about it. So there I was waiting for all the people who were in front of me to get what ever they were getting done. Then it was my turn, so I went into the room where Brian was and he asked me if I wanted my friend to come in I didn't see why but I said sure why not. So I told my friend Merissa to come in she was standing besides me as I was lying down on the chair. I couldn't of sore she was in the one getting her belly button pierced she was so nervous for me. I have a high tolerance for pain so I didn't really feel anything when he pushed the needle through or after he put the barbell through (by the way I got the barbell with the blue gems).
So the procedure was over with and he gave me a cup of water then asked me to stand up so I could see how it looked in the mirror it was perfect I was so happy. Brian then proceeded to give me the aftercare and the instructions so I knew how to clean it. When we were about to leave he gave us some lollipop's. He's a great guy very professional as well as the receptionist. If you lived in the Brick or other surroundings areas and were looking for a place to get any piercing I definitely recommend going to Exotics. I hope to be going back soon to get my eyebrow done as well as my labret and maybe my tongue because I know Brian will do an excellent job with every other piercing. My friend Merissa wants her belly button pierced and I'm taking her for her birthday and I'm also taking her to Tribal Passage to get her first tattoo. I recommend whoever wants a good tattoo place as well as artists to go to Tribal Passage. My sister and I want to take my mom to get something pierced like her cartilage and we also want to take her to get a tattoo on her ankle or a butterfly or something. I think it's working because I believed we almost persuaded her to get one or the other but we'll see what the future holds in store for us.
