My experience was kind of unique, but I think everyone's is in their own special way. I had to wait for 6 years to get my belly button pierced, I started wanting it when i was 8 years old. It was 5 1/2 years of begging and 1/2 year of not saying anything. It Stunk!! But then on December 5th my birthday rolled around and my parents gave me a card that said that I could get it done. It was one of the happiest moments of my whole life.

Contact da_punk_3@hotmail.com When It just happened Artist Ken Studio Maine Tattoo Location Brewer, Maine I was in the middle of cheering at the time, I was very tempted the whole season to quit because of it, but where I am in 8th grade and it was my last year at Junior High, I wanted to make it special. So it didn't happen until yesterday at about 7:00PM. First my friend and I had wanted to get it done on February 7th. But then our Cheer Leading competition got posponed until February 11th. We were very upset but when competition was over, we were very relieved and my mom mentioned getting it done after the dance I had on Friday. My mom called to find out what we needed to bring if anything and they needed her license or some sort of ID. So she put everything in an envelope that we needed and was set to go when the time came around.
We were pshyced about it and we couldn't wait. So on friday at 4:30PM my mom picked my friend and I up at our school and we headed down to meet my friend's mom at Maine Tattoo in Brewer, Maine. We got there and there was a load of people. We had to fill out all the papers and then we had to wait in line after like 3 or 4 people had various parts of their bodies pierced. We all waited for someone to scream but no one did. This one girl did swear a lot though. We stood around for about a half an hour and We watched a girl get her industrial done and that was pretty cool (i don't think I would ever get it done though.) Then there was this other girl that got her belly button done and I wanted to watch but at the same time I didn't dare to because I was afraid i would chicken out.
Ken called my name and I told them that my friend was going first. So she went and I felt bad because I couldn't go behind the counter and watch and I couldn't hold her hand either because I was afraid I wouldn't get it done if I saw her get it done. They did it right out in the open. No room or anything I thought htat was a little strange but at the same time it made sense. There were 2 chairs in the room. one was behind the counter and one was set off to the side. But that part didn't really bother me. Then when she was done, Ken said that it was my turn and i went over and sat in the chair. He was funny because I don't have a very large stomach area and he went to roll up my shirt adn he didn't know what to do with it so he kinda just dropped in and got on with the procedure. He told me he was going to clamp it and stuff like that. He didn't mark it or anything, he just clamped it, told me to take a deep breathe, and pushed the needle through. It was a weird fee ling, it didn't hurt but it was like it almost felt cool.
I felt a pop when he pushed it through the first layer of skin and the same with the last layer of skin. It was a very quick procedure.I was very impressed with how good a job Ken did. Even though he didn't mark it, it came out perfectly straight and I trusted him more. When I first got there I didn't trust him at all. After he was done, he sat me up in the chair (it reclined) and told me i had to wash it 2-3 times a day with Antibacterial hand soap and I had to buy "Love My Peircing." It is a spray that is realy good for your pericing and helps it heal quicker. Then we payed the people and we were on our way. I recomend Maine Tattoo to anyone, they are clean and do a very nice job. I say that anyone who wants to get this piercing and your parents say no, just keep trying I had to for 6 years. But sooner or later it will pay off. ;) If you have any questions feel free to e-mail me and I will try to help you in any way I can!!! ;)
