Hi well I was only 13 years old when I had my 1st big piercing experience, which was my standard navel I did want to be individual but then again I really wanted a simple piercing done for my up coming holiday. So I looked on bme for my answer, I read loads of these to help me make up my mind about my belly; it helped loads which is why I am doing the same for you! Can you believe it took me weeks and weeks to persuade mom & dad just for my navel, giving them all the reasons like I need it for holiday and that I have been really well behaved and stuff so eventually I was allowed. Just a tip if they say no it generally doesn't mean no just keep trying. So in the week before I got it done I told just about everyone I knew that I was getting this done, and asked a few of my friends for advice on getting it done and eventually decided on the top of my belly being pierced!

Studio bodycrafts Location clifton upon dunsmore in england So about one week after me & my mum and a friend went along to body crafts, a beauty shop near to me to have it done, at this point I was really nervous about this piercing as it was my first real one except for ear lobes and one cartilage so I had a few doubts and wanted to turn back round at one point, but any way I walked into the shop me and my mum filled out a form saying I was allowed, that I was over 12, & had owners permission all that lot, next I had to choose the jewelry I chose a purple double jeweled bar, then I had to wait about 15-20 minuets. I was so nervous and was thinking oh no should I or shouldn't I, then my friend re-convinced me, then we went into the room which was small with a bed a cupboard and a long mirror, then she said are you sure you want this done and I said yes, and then I said will it hurt and she said no more than your cartilage piercing so I was relived with that reply.
So I lay down on the bed she put her gloves on then showed my mum the new packet and she agreed it was ok. Then she drew on 2 dots above and inside my belly button, I stood up looked in the mirror and agreed it was in the right place, so I lay down again and grabbed my friend's hand. She then sprayed it with some cold stuff to numb, put some scissor like clamps on and healed the needle to my skin and pushed it through leaving just the plastic tubing inside me and pushed my bar in at the same time as taking the tubing out, guess what ... It didn't hurt one bit it just felt like she was pushing down, then popped the bar in and cleaned it the cleaning was a bit uncomfortable but not really bad she cleaned it with a little antiseptic wipe she then said ok, when you go eat some chocolate to get your energy level back up, and get some cotton buds and antiseptic soap and told me the safe way to clean it. then she said so do you want to see the needle and I said yes and it was about 3inches long and hollow with a white handle and couldn't believe that had took a big slice out of my belly button and, I stood in front of the mirror for about 10 minuets, admiring it and I had a big grin on my face, said thank you, then paid her the money.
It's been like 6 or 7 months since, and it looks great thanks to me looking after it really well and it all going ok. I could take it out after 1month. I have a playboy belly bar in at the moment and will post a picture soon. If you're considering this piercing I think you should defiantly, it's so worth the price and tiny amount of pain, so go ahead and I hope my experience has helped you. I have also agreed with mum and dad me and my friend kirsty (also a fan of this site), are getting our tongue done in 1 or 2 years can't wait she is maybe going g to get venoms which is two piercing but I will probably stick with the standard, so if your browsing I should be in the tongue section soon. And for any people who are nervous, about there navel it's not painful, and is 100% worth it. Thank you for reading my experience with you.
