Studio blackwave studio Location Okinawa, Japan It all started the day I came back from the Philippines. See I didn't really think about getting my navel pierced, because it just never accured to me. What I really wanted to do was get a tattoo. Yes, I know it sounds like I'm changing the subject but believe me it does have to do with my "Wonderful" navel experience. When I reminded my mom about the tattoo she got mad at me and said, "NO!!" I was very disappointed, because she lied to me. I know my mom knew I was upset with the situation, so she came in and talked to me about it. She told me that she didn't care if I got my navel pierced, just no tattoo. I thought about it for a short while, and decided on the idea of getting it done.
Before getting it done, I looked up ways on how to clean it, the aftercare, and other people's experiences. I then found this great sight BME. I looked at all the different experiences and read about how the procedure went and the aftercare. I was surprised to find many different procedures, and different aftercares that go along with getting your navel pierced. After reading these experiences, I felt a whole lot better about it. To tell you the truth, I was never really scared about getting it done, because I'm the type of person that doesn't care about pain.
The day finally came when I was going to get my navel pierced. I was so excited, because I have been waiting for this day for about 3 days. *laughs*(not exactly an eternity) I wore an eminem t-shirt and jeans. The eminem shirt was big, so when I got my navel pierced, the shirt wouldn't keep touching the ring.
My mom and I headed out that day. We had to walk to the studio, since it was off base. The studio was up these green stairs, on top of the tattoo studio. When I went through the door, I was amazed at how clean the place was. The guy asked what he could do for us. I said that I wanted my navel done. He said, "Ok, just one minuite, I have to get the stuff ready." I waited for about 7 minuites, and then the guy told me he was ready. He told me that he would have to use a ring for the piercing. This made me really mad, because I saw all of these really beautifull navel rings on display, but I had to go with it.
When I went in, he told me to stand on top of the dentist like chair. He took out a pen and marked where he was going to pierce it. He cleaned my belly button really well. It felt really weird, because I was really tender buttoned. It just kept tickling me, while my mom just snickered in the corner. After that, he told me to lie down, so I did. I was completely relaxed, but for some reason my heart started to race very fast. He put on a mask and gloves, which made me, feel even more comfortable, because I wasn't worried about risk of infection. I got nervous when I saw him take out the needle. It was 3 inches long and that thick. He sterilized the ring and the needle, and we were all ready to go.
I was all ready to go. I lifted up my shirt, and just lied down on the bed. He took out the clam, and clamped my belly button. It got kind of annoying after a while. Ok this is the part where it gets bad. When I read all the experiences on BME, I thought heck this is going to be perfectly painless, but oh no I was very wrong. I thought he had done it, because I felt a little prick, but I guess he was just alighning the needle. When I thought that he had pierced it, I breathed out my sigh of relief only to find out that he didn't. Those fatal words rang through my ear. "Just relax" I was like "WHAT!!!" and he pierced it. I froze, and a sharp pain ran through my body. I felt the ring go through. That didn't hurt at all. He finally said, "You're done." And he put a bandage on my navel area. Oh did I mention I bled like a mofo. I was really surprised at this as well, because when I read the experiences, I read that you don't bleed but a drip. When I finally sat up he handed me a sheet on aftercare. It told me how to clean the naval area. I had to wash the area twice a day with antibacterial soap, and put Neosporin on it as well. I was so happy and we left.
It has been two weeks since my wonderful experience. I'm telling you this right now... IT WAS WELL WORTH IT!! The Neosporin worked very well, because I havn't gotten any infections at all. After one week, I got to get that ugly ring changed. The guys said that it was healing very well and I agreed. Now I have a barbell with dangling jewels. It looks very nice. I have gotten a great round of compliments from everyone. Even a few guys. (hehe) I'm telling this to anyone who is thinking of getting there navel pierced, I would say, "Go for it!!!" It is well worth the little pain. If you have any questions just email me at wylde_azn_child_69@hotmail.com
