I got my belly-button done about three weeks ago. It all started when it was my sisters birthday, and we were goin to Cleveland to get her ears peirced at this place called... (drum roll please....) Lani's Body Peircing. Lani's Peircing was a in Lani's house. It was like he was my uncle or something and I was going to visit him. He was so nice, and he looked normal, too.

Now, my sister knew that I've wanted my belly-button done for about a year or so. Because I had been begging her to do it for me. And she knew I was gonna do it sometime, and she would rather me not do it on my own, so while she was filling put her papers she looked at me and smiled and said, " I know this is my birthday and all but i feel like this would be a great way of getting you to shut-up about getting your belly-button peirced... so... go ahead and start filling out those papers over there..." I was soooo happy I jumped up and ran over to the papers that Lani had already filled out. And all I had to do was sign the piece of paper and I was then ready!!!She let me go first.

First he made me go and wash my hands in the bathroom. Then I took a step in this big room. It was as big as a normal living room.He told me to stand next to him. Then I watched him take out the clamp. The clamp wasn't big at all. It was the length was the size of scissors. And the hole was about 2 inches wide. I was kinda nervous because everyone has told me that the clamp hurt the most. He dotted the place where he would put the bar in and then asked me if I liked it. And of course I said yes. He then put the clamp on. It doesnt hurt at all. It felt like someone had put a clothes pin on me. Now if you think that hurts than don't bother getting a peircing.

Then he said that I could either keep standing or lay down on this massage table. I didn't really care. But, I told him to let my lie down. Then he made me hold the clamp in place while he got the needle. My sister and I were talking while he did this. Then he stood next to me with a needle in a ble package. I tried so hard not to look at the needle, cuz I hate needles. But I caught sight of it. Oh gosh, it was the thickest needle I have ever seen, and it was long. I almost backed out, but I didnt. Then it got really quiet, then he asked me if I would like the radio on. I said yeah, I wanted to stall as long as I could. He turned on the radio and said I will remember the song for the rest of my life. But I kinda forgot what it was. *he he* Then I was ready. SO he told me to take a deep breath and then... I felt sooo much pain. Oh my gosh it hurt soooo bad. I mean it might not of hurt that much if i didn't see the needle, but I did!! And I'm telling you it DOES HURT fo r about 30 sec. then its nothin. He took the needle out and put a petite bar in, because I'm a cheerleader, and when I tumbled it wouldn't bother me as much. I looked down and saw a puddle of blood. I was a little bothered, but he told me that some people bleed and some dont.

I then stood up and he gave me a papertowel in case it started bleeding again, (which it didnt) and he also gave me a lolipop. Which I was very happy about. On the drive home it was sore, and after that it was sore for about a day or two. But now its fine and it looks great. I have to wash it twice a day with Dial soap and soke it in the soap, so it won't tear the skin when I rotate it, which you have to do 4 times. The soap dries out my skin so I have to put some gelly stuff on it so the ball won't stick to my skin so much. And it gets irritated from wearing clothes.

Oh yeah, I couldn't tumble for about 2 weeks because it would stretch the hole.

For anyone who thinks they want it done, I would defintely recommend it. It's only sore for a day or two, and you can sleep on it. And its not sore like your ears are after you get them peirced!! And I would also recommend getting it done at Lani's Body Peircing if you live in the Cleveland Tennessee area.

Thanks, Annie
