OK, so here's my story; I'm 15 years old (16 in like 2 months) and i go to a predominantly white rich suburban school. People with piercing are considered to be outcasts and "freaks" there. There's the typical crowd with the cheerleading sluts and dumb-as-a-brick football players. Now mind you, i am not stereotyping all cheerleaders and football players, so don't send me hate mail. This paragraph was solely to set the scene from where i'm from and i wish it wasn't like this, but there is nothing i can do to change it.

And then there's me.I have 15 holes in my ears all stretched to 14G, except my top cartilage hole which is at 4G and going bigger. I must say i do have an earring fetish, LOL. Now you're probably wondering where the navel story comes in. How about here:

I was in Cleveland one day for a doctors appointment when we drove past Body Revolution, which is one of the only studios in the area with the exception of the awesome Body Work Productions in Lakewood. I had lived in Cleveland for 15 years prior to moving east and this studio had been open for about 2 years and i always wanted to go there, so i figured, hey why not? I dragged my mom in there originally to get my tragus and rook pierced, but changed my mind and after convincing my mom that my dad WONT kill me, we went for it.

I waited for about 10 min until one of the piercers came out. He was super nice and helped me pick out a barbell with a dark pink stone. About 5 more minutes went by and then he was ready. As soon as i got in the super clean "room"(it was small, kinda like a big closet) he explained the aftercare and marked me. I tell ya, you dont know how many situps you need to do until you see your stomach in that mirror, but anyways. I laid down and he clamped me and at first i thought "hey this isnt so bad" but i was having a blonde moment and then realized that he wasn't piercing yet. He then told me to breathe in and out slowly and stuck the needle in, in which i muttered some foul mouthed potty words because i had scar tissue from many failed self attempts before, and it was done in a matter of maybe 3 minutes. he wiped up the drop of blood and poof we were done. I kinda wished i would've gotten a bigger adrenaline rush from it, but it left me with the feeling of "it's done already? damn" There was just a sharp pain involved, so anyone that tells you it hurt is either a pussy or is lying. I then asked him some questions about different self piercing that i was planning to do, like my tragus, and he advised heavily against it because of the pain involved. So i told him that i was going to dermal punch my cartilage and he said good luck. I paid the $45 and gave him a $5 tip cause he was awesome. I felt so comfortable cause he was really relaxed and he knew what he was doing.

Well it's been about 3 days now and everything is going just swell. It's a little red, but i soak it in sea salt 2-3 times a day and use antibacterial soap on it every day. I also use bactine on it which kills the pain. There has been no crusties or blood or anything, so maybe i'm just a good piercee, or maybe they're coming soon once it heals a little more. If anyone has some tips for me, let me know, and also if there are any people out there that are stretching their cartilage, email me, b/c i wanna see what they're doing differently from what i am

So if you are ever in Cleveland, go to Body Revolution. They also have a location in Brunswick where they tattoo also, but you can schedule an appointment throught the Cleveland location. The piecers are really nice and helpful there too. If anyone has any ?'s feel free to email me.

P.S. I did NOT do this because everyone else has it done. My parents won't allow me to get anything else until i'm 18. I did this for me and me only, not to follow the crowd, because in life you have to do that so much anyway and i feel that you should do what makes you happy and your life complete and if it's adding a little metal or acrylic or silicon to your body, go for the gold. (Sorry, i was feeling a little Dalai Llamaish there)
